This is something that I think is long overdue... :D
You may have noticed that the fanart threads have been "moved" from their original parent forums. You may have also noticed that they've also been closed from further posting. The reason? They're a gigantic mess, LOL.
So with the addition of this new forum specifically targeted at fanart (and related stuff), everyone can have individual threads when posting new artwork or a fanfic or project, etc. I'm hoping this will keep things a little more organized from this point forward.
I'll leave it to the members as to how to keep this organized, but ideally I'm picturing a seperate thread for each new piece that's posted unless they're related to a thread topic (ie: requests, contests, etc). Or a direct response to an earlier posted work within the thread.
At any rate, let's have some fun with this and I hope everyone has a good time posting their work and sharing it with the community!

Ooh, question question! I started this thread not too long ago
http://www.showbizpizzaforum.com/showthread.php?t=4393
and it's pretty much a fan project (costume, that is). Could you move it to the new gallery for me? :3

Not a bad idea, Travis, thanks! No longer will the fan art threads go into oblivion from lack of posting. I don't know if making a new thread for every piece will be something I'll get used to, but it might be good. I'm so used to having a single thread dedicated towards personal pieces, and the first post organizes your work you post throughout the thread. Of course, that's a ton of work too....

Hey Travis, how should we handle requests? Just integrate them into our individual threads, start a NEW thread, or just have some kind of universal request thread where anyone can request anything from anyone?

Hmm, good question... :D
I have the feeling that one big thread might get cluttered pretty quickly. I'm thinking that maybe each request could have it's own thread, with any submissions following it. Or if we had one big "request" thread, the responses and artwork could be posted in a new thread or in a members personal artwork thread.
I dunno, what does everyone think might work best?
I have gotten a few suggestions about keeping everyone's art in their own "personal" thread. Charon has already started one like this, as an example of what I'm talking about. Maybe it would be best to organize it in this fashion? We could always have exceptions too like if we had a "topic" or "contest" thread started that was a free-for-all.
The end goal of all this is to get the artwork archived to SP.com for a more permanant online gallery display. There's been so much posted on the forum recently that needs to be archived, plus lots of crap I have from years back too.

Hmm. I think it could work with people requesting things in each person's individual thread...or maybe, if they want to do a free-for-all request they can start up a new thread and tag it as a request?
Is there something in the BBcode that can format thread titles like "REQUEST: Chuck E. Cheese in a hula skirt" or what have you?
