I would love to see one with a theatre, but one that you'd have to wait for. Show's only once per hour. Just to kind of make it a little more special. Something akin to the country bear jamboree, or the wheel of progress.
The stage would have to be rather complex, in that you could move around the characters and introduce new one's from time to time, so that you could have different shows at least every 3 to 4 months to keep if fresh. Maybe a multi-level stage, and characters up in windows.
Pizza, Video games, and the theatre at the back of the restaraunt. One show per hour. If you miss it, you can stay and play more, then catch the next one. Keep the kid check concept. No buffet. No swipe cards, all tokens. Definitely, boardwalk style games. Kinda like a Dave and Busters / Incredible pizza / CEC
300 seat theatre. Popcorn, 30-45 minute show's. Maybe a host that would interact with the children and characters. Ending with a finale that includes walk around characters.
The name would be "Cheezy Sneezers!" heh heh. You get a cookie if you can tell me where that was from.

I kind of agree with what everyone else said. My restaurant'll have a really nice animatronic show, games for adults and kids, pool, air hockey, skee ball of course, fun walkaround characters prizes and grill fool (ex. burgers, dogs, fries, etc.). Oh, and a ball pit! But I'll have to find a very efficent way of cleaning it.
The animatronic show I'm still working on (concept, that is). It won't be a band playing, but rather a group of characters playing music in a radio station. The main guy is a jackalope who's into all-American rock. Then there's the dog janitor who prefers hip-hop, a crocodile who likes euro-pop type stuff, and the other two are a bird and some kind of hoofed-animal who like swing and some other genre. Point is there's a lot of different types of music playing. Also, when I build the bots, they'll have lots of movements! :D Moving legs, I hope. The one thing that bugs me about Studio C chuck and Mitzi is that their upper body moves while their legs don't at all. It's weird.
And for funsies, I've nearly finished developing the jackalope character. Not sure if I'll keep the hawaiian shirt.

Btw, this isn't a what-if. I'm crazy about starting businesses, and I will open this one day. Hopefully in the next 10 years, hehe. ^^

The legs don't move because their bolted to the floor.
You'll have to find a new way to secure the characters to the stage if you make moving legs.
Best of luck on that idea!

Circus Playhouse had a tiger character that was held up by a bar from the back so he could bend at the knees as he played his guitar. See the photo under misc animatronic shows on main page.
By the way..... Thats a REALLY cool jackalope you've got there, whats his name?

Thanks! And I'm not sure yet. Usually when I create characters, it takes me a while to name them. Anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. As I draw him more, his name will grow on me. ;3

I usually give my characters (and costumes) silly nicknames when I'm creating them that end up sticking and becoming their actual name.
For example, I'm writing a McDonalds fanfiction. The main character didn't have a name when I was coming up with a design, and I was listening to Michael Jackson, so I nicknamed her Billie Jean and it ended up becoming her name. :D

We actually had a thread about that over yonder. http://www.showbizpizzaforum.com/showthread.php?t=4356
I plan on making my franchise a reality one day, as I already run one business (http://www.micromascots.com) and know some stuff about them. Well, actually, it probably won't be a franchise. More than likely it'll be one of those only-a-handful-across-the-country deals.
I've taken a break from the concept development for a bit because I have other things to worry about. :-P

I'd like a patio type restaurant with gardens where the flowers and plants, and some small garden creatures would sing. ;;)
