Hey gang,

Hope everybody has been well...been keeping up with all the CEC news here on this website and the newsletters that I can still get access to. I went into a CEC the other day to vist a friend of mine there is still there. While there I saw the "new" salad bar. I am glad I don't have to set that up. I also got a chance to try the new subs...not bad but not nearly as good as the old ones.

yeah when I heard they were switching to Cibatta bread I was like WTF. ah well thank god the pizza crust hasn't changed.

Good to hear from you again Munch Jr. I totally agree the old subs were awesome. The new one's should have been checked a little bit more however i like them both so go figure. :D

not sure what phase it is. The salad bar is basically half crocks which puts more items on there I guess the new subs and new salad bar isn't rolled out over the country yet??

the new salad bar is here even in stores that havent been remodeled yet. its ok, but not worth the price increase. the prices here in cali were already more expensive than everywhere else (i think. maybe not ny?) so im pretty upset that they went up more. the salad is like $1 - $1.50 more. same with the new subs. and i like the old ones better. the old bread was better. and i prefer shredded lettuce thank you very much. did they even do any market research on this first? i guess they did cuz las vegas had them like over a year ago. but i didnt really care about it. new mexico has lasagna. now id like to see that everywhere.

The list could go on and on with that....whatever happened the the chicken fingers 4 way pizza, the wings that were suppose to go in a fryer.

The only new item that has bit the dust that i've tried in the last 4 years was the Low Carb Pizza and it was ok. I never got to try the chicken fingers & I was at a Stockholders meeting when they were introduced so likewise I run over to Irving EXPECTING to find them there and lo and behold, they wen't being tested in Irving.
