RAE Webcam

Hey Everyone,

just out of curiosity I was wondering how many of you would be interested in ever seeing a RAE being setup on a webcam? So, if I did this right, vote using this poll!

This is an amazing idea. I think Youtube videos would be best, since they're not scheduled or live and we wouldn't miss anything. :)

Here's a crazy idea:

Have a live webcam and have it set up so those viewing the webcam can vote for or somehow select the shows they want to see. There could also be a live chat so everyone could talk to each other while watching the show. Maybe not 24/7 as I'm pretty sure having the show "ready to go" 24/7 wouldn't be good. But maybe have it live but schedule blocks of time for it.

When I start setting up my show in the Fall, I'm going to have both 24/7 webcam WITH YouTube videos. (The YouTube videos will cover it in-depth w/ interviews, while the webcam will be for overall progress.

I can't help but think that a 24/7 webcam will be REALLY REALLY boring for most of the time. There's only so much you can do at a time.

You know, up until I visited the Cosmic Bazaar website for the first time shortly before I joined the boards here, I never knew Mitzi's bot actually had... um... well... an... actual set of... yeah... those things. ***********^^*********** It blew my mind, really. I didn't think CEI would have gone for that much detail. *^^*;;

It was quite shocking when I came across that, as I quickly continued to scroll down the page, thinking, "WHOA, HOLD ON, IT'S NOT POLITE TO STARE! KEEP MOVING!!!"

I mean, whether it's Mitzi or any other chick I like, it's... just not right to stare and ogle and think things like that. I dunno, call me old-fashioned, but I just generally take that respectful nice-guy approach. *^^*;;;

And sadly, being that kind of guy this day in age, as I've learned, just generally doesn't pay. At least, not in my personal life. Professionally, sure. It's rewarded me loads. But being the nice, respectful guy sure hasn't rewarded me in the relationship realm. =\

I 50/50 on this one. I think, what would be REALLY cool, is a "24/7 cam" as being BUILT....then once it's built, do scheduled shows.

At the least, you need to do it as a fixed position camera so you can create a composite "Time-Lapse" video from start to finish.

Oh man, a time-lapse video of a RAE installation from start to finish would be awesome. If that's at all possible, I agree that you should go for it!!

I still think the idea of a 24/7 cam as it's being built would be kinda cool. We could all keep track of the progress in "real time". But again, I do like the idea of the time-lapse video.

The thing I hope for more than the setup is just having videos of shows on youtube from your show. They could even be show selector songs, and not even sets of songs.
