While searching the net for arcade and Chuck E cheese related pics from the early years.

My name is Dan,
I grew up in San Jose CA where the first CEC was started and have many fond memories of the numerous locations in my area. Now a days I'm a collector of arcade games and all things arcade related including CEC. I've only skimmed the forums a bit but have already seen some interesting topics including talk regarding Nolan Bushnell, the animitronics of CEC and an interesting CEC item someone found at a thrift store I believe. I also seem to remember a mention by someone that they got to tour the 3rd story which was called CEC university or someting to that effect of the CEC near or on Tully road near the San Jose are. Looks like I have a lot of interesting reading ahead of me. Just in case someone reading this happens to have/know this stuff off hand I got two quick questions.

1..Does anyone know the name of the toy store that the Chuck E Cheese near Tully road in San Jose used to be?

2..Does anyone have some pics or video of the game room areas from the early years of CEC or showbiz?

Thanks, Dan

Welcome! Quite nifty to see a fellow Sacramentan area CEC/Arcade fan
join up!

As for the early game rooms, that and the original animatronics, etc are all on this thread:

Im *still* trying to find more pictures of the original 77-83 PTT theater California stores, especially the San Jose ones.
