I see after all these years they have FINALLY figured out that having a shorter grade fur would work better. We all know how the long fur would become crappy after years of service ( and look mighty crappy after all that time too!) The better quality shorter fur plush will be much easier to keep clean too...

The gloves i have already seen in person, and they are nice, though my main concern is they make it far to obvious there is a person inside them.

As far as the shoes go...what the fudge is up with those?? The colors do not match ANYTHING Chuck has in his currant inventory of clothing!

Perhaps this means a new set of duds is on the way?

I remember back when Chuck would get a new set of cloths every year. It's been like 4 years now has'nt it since we received the "Avenger" costume?

those r the new shoes!!!!! there like the ones Chuck E Wears in the advertisement!!! he wears them as the animated Chuck E (cartoon Chuck e) and just recently they made them for the walkaround costume(april 05 to be exact!!) ya i kno alot about the current CEC stuff lol for the walkaround lol

But seriously dude....the shoes just don't match his outfit! I think i liked the green/purple ones better..at least appearence wise.

It looks like the new "yellow" shoes are better fitting and more comfortable. True?

The new White shoes, stay on alot better, but they are not as comfortable, and they're a LOT smaller than the old style shoes. If you're a guy and have feet bigger than a size 12, you're gonna have to find other shoes, or you're outta luck with being Chuck.

About them looking weird, yeah. The indeed match all the cartoons and drawings of CEC now, but nobody thinks they match at all. When we first got our pair, my boss tried to send them back, saying they weren't the right shoes. I stopped Fedex and saved them! :p Nobody understood why we went from matching purple and green shoes to these. I like them though.

Why does it seem like CEC is intent on slowly taking the walkaround from an actual character with shape and form, and turning it into a 17 year old kid wearing baggy clothes and a mouse head?

If you took the head off, most people wouldn't recognise who that costume is... I think that is a problem.

Agree totally Billy Bob.....you are not being pessimistic, just REALISTIC! ;)

I was never a huge fan of Chuck's more "modern" look....it's something i have just kind of had to put up with. I know the Company feels a need to make Chuck hip and all...and appeal to today's "hip" kids....but i think it takes away from his character.

What happened to Chuck E, the "Entertainer"? Now it's more like "Chuck E. the Big Brother Babysitter".

weve had those new hands forever, at least 7 or 8 months. and theres not one bit of matted fur, or any discoloration on the peachy colored pads. that part used to wear away so fast, and we would have tears along the seams on the old ones. these new gloves look the same as the day we pulled them out of the box.

i love the new costumes!!!! i like the fact that they made im kid friendly cuz he looks like them or he can also look like a teenager too!!! this costume however i think makes chuck e look like an 8 yr old or younger now the other costumes kinda were what i call chuck e's teen years. i like the costume varieties!!! plus doing all the stuff i do ya its real easy to move in the suit for me at least

Well yeah, it makes sense since the target audience for CEC is under 6 these days. Naturally a candy-colored mouse is going to appeal to the tikes more! :b


When i first saw the new gloves last year, i liked them a lot, though for the character i think the larger ones looked better overall. The fur is far better though...much better quality for the stress those gloves are put under. The all leather pads also are better. On the older hands, the long fur between your palm and fingers always wore away first. It would only take a few weeks of use and it would look so crappy ( and turn black..) that you have to wonder why they did'nt change the fur sooner!

So is it true that the NEW head is indeed lighter then the previous version? I know the early 90's style heads ( "Mouse" Chuck head intro) is considerably heavier then the later models from the late 90's. How is the new head in comparison to the older heads that are still in the Stores?

not sure about that one, we dont have a new head. i had 2 when i got to that store and they were both in very good condition so i havent had to buy one
