Every forum I've ever been a part of has had some type of member photo thread, you know, where each member posts a photo of themselves so that we can associate a face with a name? I always thought it was fun to see what everyone really looks like under their username.
Do we have a thread like that? If so, please direct me to it. If not, let's start one here! I'll post my picture once (if...) the thread starts going. :)
15 views an no posts? Tsk Tsk. Nobody wants a member photo thread? Fine, fine. I'll start.

Wow am I really in that many photos online? That's actually funny... I rather hate being photographed and/or videotaped. It took me 3 days after the updfated Rock-afire movie trailer came out (that had me in it) for me to actually sit down and watch it. LOL
This was a great idea for a thread, let's see some more member photos!

Here's a pretty recent pic of me. It's from when I was at AnimeFEST! 2008, in Dallas, Texas. I was representing former WWE Champion, John Cena, rocking all his gear, including the popular spinner WWE Championship belt he customized when he became champion.

And yes, I'm such a wrestling mark most of my wardrobe consists of the casual wear of the WWE Superstars. I walk around town wearing that getup. Minus the belt, though. That'd be too much hassle. The title stays home. XD (LOL)

You're out there in California, right? Wow, you get to go to all the good CA anime conventions. Eventually I'll get the funds to make it out there for like, Anime Expo, or something big like that. 'til then, I have to settle for A-Kon and AnimeFEST! in Dallas, Texas. But those, I'm very happy with. Have you ever been to Project: A-Kon? ^_^
For the longest time, I used to always dress up as Harry Potter at the conventions. Most of my friends I've made through the convention circuit associate that character with me, even through normal life 'cause my regular appearance resembles him so much. I usually keep Harry's shaggy hairstyle, and the glasses I always wear are styled just like his from the movie that I got from LensCrafters. heh, it's kind of an odd combination, looking like Harry Potter from the neck up, and the neck down, dressed up like some wrestler guy. (LOL)
hee... it's cool, I know a lot of peeps who used to be big wrestling fans, mostly through the "Monday Night Wars" era of the mid-to-late 90s, and a lot of them fell off when WWE bought WCW, and ECW went bankrupt. =\ I wish wresting was as huge as it was during those days, 'cause nearly EVERYONE watched it, then. Statistically, it was like, 10+ million people a week were watching wrestling during that time. o_O!

Well waaaaay back in the da day and I'm talking the early days of TV, like the 50s and 60s, my grandma's family used to LOVE watching wrestling. My dad's mom used to watch it all the time too, rooting for local guys like 'The Crusher'. (who incidentally my late father met and had beers with a couple times, Crusher used to run a t-shirt shop before died about hmm 8-10 years ago)

I mostly just go to the big Fanime Con in Northern California every year, never been to AX or the big movie/tv show/comic extravaganza "Comic Con" in San Diego...I wish tho!
Wow, no no...sounds like the big anime conventions are more in your area!
I don't dress up at every one, but it's fun to cosplay. I've only seen the third and fifth Harry Potter films, but they were pretty good.
Oh yeah, I was insanely huge into WWF and WCW back in the late 1980's til the time they were bought out. HUGE mark/smark. I remember in 1986 I was so jealous my classmates got to go see WWF live events, as I didn't get to go til 1990. I was in the front row of Royal Rumble 93. I got out of wrestling though from 1993 til late 1995, and really didn't get fully back into it til the NWO angle in WCW. That was just amazing, as at the time WWF's product was really lacking and WCW was on top of their game with technical, lucha libre, Japanese and other style wrestling. Then in early 1997 when ECW "invaded" WWF, and it was the height of the WWF/WCW Monday Night Wars, it was just amazing.
I thought Vince seriously dropped the ball with the "WWFvsWCW" angle when they bought out the company. I sadly haven't watched much WWF/E since, so whenever I turn it on I have no idea who these guys are.
I have noticed that WWE is now much more about kind of, well less on the showmanship side. Instead of over the top personalities like The Rock, Stone Cold(LOVED The Rock and Stone Cold era, probably even better than the Hogan 80's era) etc. they have more subdued guys like Cena, JBL, Kennedy, Batista, Orton, etc. Meaning, WWE seems way less about crazy gimmicks, outfits and such and more about a normal look.
I'm glad TNA has stepped it up to be a kind of post millennial WCW; in fact so much of TNA's look and feel seems like WCW. Suffice to say, I miss the days when they blurred the line between scripted and unplanned...now days Mcmahon and Triple H are on Larry King spelling out exactly how they script and plan the stories and matches. Of course, it's sad that many of the big wrestling stars I remember from the 80's, 90's and 2000's have passed away.

AX and Comic-con are two I really wanna hit up, someday. They just seem so hugely awesome. Everyone in the fandoms always say how cool those cons are, and heck, I have to hear about it from some of my friends who work out there in California at the furniture stores the company I work for owns. XD
hee, yeah, admittedly, A-Kon and AF! in Dallas are a mere 3 hours away from here in podunk Oklahoma City. And A-Kon is only 2 months away! =D I can't wait. ^-^
Sweet, you said, "mark!" XD (LOL) You speaketh the wrestling lingo! =D XD (LOL) OMG, you were at ringside for the '93 Rumble?? THAT'S AWESOME! '92 is my all-time favorite Rumble with Flair winning. WOW. Hah, you know, I know a lot of peeps who fell off of wrestling in that '93-'95 era. People HATED that "family entertainment" garbage Vince was shoveling down people's throats. The nWo was SO where it's at. I hated Hogan 'til he went Hollywood. After that, I've always been a staunch Hogan supporter. XD But yeah, WCW's product was so superior at that time, beating WWE for 82 weeks straight in the ratings. If only WCW had the managerial/back office strength the WWE did. If so... man... I bet they'd still be around. WWE needs some stiff competition to better their product. I agree, the invasion angle was great, but the WWE so flubbed it. I hate how Vince always lets his ego control the booking, like how he always buries the guys he didn't build up. =\
Yeah, it seems Vince is getting away from the over-the-top, "cartoon-like" characters. Everyone all just kind of blends in with the normal tough-guy look. Heck, John Cena used to look very over-the-top when he was more of a rapper-based character back in 2004. I miss that version of Cena. Not the bland "Marine" Cena that's on TV now. I want him to spit freestyles and dis people like a thug, clocking people with that lock and chain he wore around his neck. =\
Definitely, TNA is very WCW-like. I just hope they continue to focus on their product more and not try to be so like their competition to where people would call them, "WWE-Lite." Ya know? And I hear ya, I'd give anything to see some good angles where you can't tell if it's a work or a shoot. Heck, the current storyline with Triple H and Randy Orton has gotten my attention pretty good, and I've managed to get some of my co-workers into it. With HHH finally breaking kayfabe and saying he's legit married to Stephanie McMahon, and Randy Orton's repeated assaults on her to raise the ire of The Game, I can't wait to see them beat the holy heck out of each other this Sunday at WrestleMania XXV. =D
