What happened to the podcast?

I know that the last show was quite awhile ago, but I'm just wondering. Was there not enough interest in it?

Brian and Jeff can explain better but that was definetely part of it. Everyone loved to complain that "not enough people were allowed to join in" and then when contests were held or fans were asked for participation nobody bothered. I think most people just wanted to take control of it, or maybe just complaining to complain. I'm torn on that one.

But I might say we do have an idea sitting on the backburner that would make an excellent replacement for it. A few kinks to work out first though before we can move forward...

Travis hit the nail on the head. The time, from start to end, to make a podcast is approx. 5 hours. That includes making a script, B and I meeting online, setting up our Mic's and recording software, recording, editing, and coding the final show on Sp.com and the podcast's Myspace. (OMG, theres a Myspace for the Podcast?! Who knew....) So in all, it took a big chunk out of our free time to make a decent show. And remember, we don't get paid to do this...:grin:

According to Travis, the number of people that listened to our show was off the charts, which was great. But when we offered contests (of our own stuff) we got no one to participate. No one called our hotline (we only got hilarious prank calls from forum members:)).
So we basically thought it wasn't worth our time and effort if no one was going to work with us to make the show.

Some good news, B and I planned a December return, ( I even have the art work to prove it :-P) but we got lazy and never recorded it. We're planning a return soon, and we're considering something new which will make the experience better than before. :)

When will SPTV be coming out?

It probably won't, because there's even less interest in that. If anything, it'll be clips from time to time but there's nothing scheduled in the near future. Putting on any kind of show takes time and effort and both Travis and Jeff have covered it well.
