Well, today i went to a 3 stage Chuck E. Cheese. The condition was alright, but it was a odd setup: pizzacam was missing (no box either!). The characters were fully updated with plastic masks, but they still had the old showbiz eyes. They moved well but munch's mouth would sometimes move to the song, not the V.O. Pasquallys left arm would'nt move either.:rolleyes otherwise everything was perfect. Well I guess it happens when your dealing with 20 year old animatronics. :p

Yeah the props just get taken out now most of the time when they don't work, like Pizzacam, Moon etc...and the masks are all plastic now at 3 stage stores. They're no longer made of latex...but there are still a few latex ones on various characters out there.

Yes, the moon was still there. It worked good and it looked better than when it was at Showbiz. Chuck's arm was so stretched out that it would'nt move. Maybe whoever made the cosmetics didn't cut the right amount of fur for it. :x . And Helen's hand fell off about mid-way into the show.

Apparently, our regional tech just came in and removed the pizzacam one day and threw it out, according to the district tech. The RT also disconnected the moon and building.
My assistant and I resurrected the moon and building.
I had trouble keeping Helen's hand on until I got new ones that bolted straight through the arm.
My major problem was that CEC's ears, once I got them moving freely, moved so freely that the weight of the ears keep snapping the plastic mounts.

The closest Illinois 3-stage location around a few of our members, including myself, is the Darien store. Where in the state are you from?

Yeah, we have a few left in the area. There are only 7 old SPP locations left in Illinois, 5 in the Chicago area and 2 in central Illinois.
There were about 20 SPP stores back in the mid 1980's. The ones still using the 3 stage show are in areas I would call "Less than yuppie"

I love in Rockford, so I have the great honor of requenting the rocker stage. Darien is not that far from where I work in Downers Grove. That's great, I'll have to check that store out real soon. Thanks for the info!
