So, I was talking to one of my managers yesterday. And She said we're gonna be getting a projector for our Studio C monitor screen. Does anybody know anything about this?

Nope. Sounds like a bad idea, though. Projectors aren't meant to usually be turned on for 12 hours at a time.

Eh, they'll be fine. Disneyland and movie theaters do it all the time.

Welp, Ijust asked my manager today why we're getting a projector. She said because they dont make those types of monitors anymore for the alpha or something like that. I'll try to get some pics of it. Thats if we get it.

Im not sure about that Family Vision thing, but.

My manager told me the reason why we have that is because, they don't make those types of screens for the Studio C Alpha anymore or something like that. Thats just what my manager told me. Our screen was pretty messed up too. There was always lines going it, mostly on the right side of the screen. It's a really clear image too! I noticed it as soon as I walked right into the showroom.

The 80" mitsubishi monitors are no longer made or supported. So, everyone who's got a tv that no longer works will goto a projector. I'm surprise you got white though. A couple of my stores have them and they are gloss black and blend in with all the lights really well.

I wonder how much the bulbs will set the stores back! good choice though I've always liked Epson products!!!

kodos to them also for doing something to keep the show looking good, instead of just hoping the problem goes away.

We use epson projectors in a few of our rides as well and can get the bulbs pretty cheap.

Hey all,
I remember a thread about the 80" big screen tv's we use on our studio C's. Mine finally gave up the ghost, and we got our projection system in for this show.

I've included some pics. Some of the other fellas have recieved black one's, but mine's white. Very easy install and it looks great. I may even build a cover for it for protection.

Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Nice...i'm glad they are taking the step to do this instead of just replacing it with another type of tv monitor. It would probably be hard to find a match, considering the old screens were used in the original design of the Studio C stage layout. Nice to see these little video projectors come out for use. Way cool.

I bet the picture quality is looking a bit better too...compared to the old overused original tv monitor. It's like: hey, it's in COLOR!

Awesome pix..thanks for sharing!

How does the projection look on the screen?

It looks like there's still a TV there. Except it's now brighter and more colorful than ever before. You can even make out the picture from the parking lot!

I placed the projector right behind one of the bose speakers and it more or less blends in. I wish it were black though like in one of my Vegas stores.

I would love to but that would void the warranty. The way we use those projectors, we need the warranty to remain active just in case.....
