I hope the people in New Orleans (birthplace of RAE's Fatz) can survive the recent wrath of Hurricane Katrina even taking shelter in the little leaked room New Orleans Saints Superdome. The game show Wheel of Fortune was taping a few weeks there for November 2005 and had to cancel the last week of New Orleans tapings as the staff departed on a bus to Houston, Texas just to avoid the Hurricane Katrina.

I felt Katrina's rath here in Navarre, but we did get any damage what so ever to our home. I hope Snap is all right and his new home or his RAE did suffer any damage.

It came right through West Tennessee where I am now and did significant damage to the front wall of my race track along the front stretch. That was the only damage we took. Our farm is ok. You can see the damage at: www.garnertownsuperspeedway.com and then going to the photogallery.

Man,

I've been checking yahoo news a few times a day and the news coming out of New Orleans is getting worse and worse. Now they're saying they want to completely evacuate the entire city and it'll be uninhabitable for many many weeks?

It's really sad. We're going on vacation soon and everytime we head toward Florida, we stop at a souvenier shop called 'Sharkheads' down in Biloxi, Mississippi. Looks like that isn't going to happen this time around - I doubt it's even still standing. The photos coming out of Biloxi beach of the damage are insane. :(

As I posted under the CEC forum, my condolences go out to everyone affected by this disaster; God help the people of Louisiana and other states affected by Katrina's wrath.

In hurricane Katrina affected New Orleans: It will take about 3 weeks to drain the water before at least 3 weeks of cleaning up/city restoration, and it will be at least 2 months before the entire city of New Orleans has power/electricity restored.
