Oh boy, I can't WAIT to tell you about this one!
This year, I bought my first new car - a Suzuki SX4, and man I love it. It came standard with a CD player that can play MP3/WMA CDs. I made a few burn CDs of audio stuff and enjoyed that a bit. But it finally hit me what to do with it recently.
I realized all my shows (RAE) are MP3s! So I burned two discs of them, and popped them in my car to listen to on the way to CEC today to celebrate my cousin's birthday.
WHAT A BLAST! Every time I jump in the car, the RAE are waiting with the best mix of comedy, fun and songs! I sang along to SO many songs driving around town. My big fear has been exhausting my RAE library, and I would have no more to listen to. But I've needed a fix for so long, it feels great to just listen effortlessly to the RAE. Everytime I drive somewhere, Dook Fatz and the gang ride along!
For those who have an MP3 capable CD player in the car, I HIGHLY recommend it. I sure wish I could have seen them on stage at CEC, or even MMMBB, but you do what you can.
What fun!

Oh heck yeah, man! I've put some of my RAE .mp3s on CD so I can jam out to 'em in the car, too. It's so totally awesome! ^_^

I am very happy for you, macrossmaster.
Sounds like you are having a delightful blast with these audio discs of RAE material. Your RAE library must consist of nearly everything that the group recorded during its heyday. I would have to assume that it must hard to choose a top favorite track. Some cuts are so enjoyable we just can't get enough of them. All you want to do then is play them over and over and over again.
Hope you enjoy this for a long time to come!

I've carefully parcelled shows out over the past two years I think...from whenever I got them. I just decided to go hog wild and listen to em all. I get an electric thrill from EACH show - which seems brand new to me, cause its tough to remember dialogue when you are 5! :) Each one is very special - they only made so many (and we only have so many), so each new show is one that should be special.
Now I can't wait to get in the car again! And as a side note, the song "In December" is going to get played a TON at every Christmas the rest of my life. I want it as a new classic mixing with the old - it's such a beautiful song!

Congratulations on your new car! As I was sayin' in my note to you I just got a new car as well, and it's not exactly my dream vehicle (I'm somewhat new to having credit so I had to settle somewhat) but it's still a nice means of transportation, and it can play MP3's! It's really neat you can play all that classic stuff on there, I was worried RAE recordings were only available on Records, and I hardly ever see (affordable) ones of those on eBay. I know they have record players hat can convert the music into mp3s and cd, which really amazes me...I'd really like one as I have a slew of records i'd love to convert that way.
I got into alot of groups I'm into now but picking up records cheap at garage sales and listening to 'em. I know cds are so much more crisper and pristine, but nothing really beats a good sounding record.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to being able to do this as well soon, there's so much RAE stuff I haven't heard yet and it's really going to be absolutely thrilling to hear it all for the first time.

Nice! At least I'm not the only one in this world who listens to rock-afire/cec songs in the car.
