Old Forum Themes - Suggestion

I think there should be a option to switch the theme again like before where you could choose between a older theme and the new.

What happened to that feature anyways?

Yeah, I'm getting tired of this red one, plus, it says "Season 3 will begin shortly". Hasn't it already begun months ago?

lol, the option to switch themes was removed a while ago, just cause. No really, it was done because we were tired of the way it looked and have been working on fine tuning this one behind the scenes. As for season 3, it's a rolling production =))

Good news is, by the end of the month we should have something put together. Perhaps in time for halloween... or did I just ruin the secret?

Wow....i was wondering what the deal was. 'Season 3' has been listed as a 'Coming Attraction' since July at least!

I'm really glad come new designs are coming along. I miss the RAE one!

It's basically our attempts to "disguise" work on the forum when it needs to be done publically, instead of our usual behind the scenes work.
For example: upgrading vBulliten to it's newest version.

We usually add new features for everyone to play with during these remodels...the newest was the abilitly customize your own personal profile and comment other friends.

There were so many skin choices before, which was nice to have but they weren't necessarily quality skins. I remember by the 5th or 6th one, I just started throwing them together.

In either case, it takes alot of work to put a skin together- so many little adjustments and buttons to change over. The new layout for Season 3 was meant to be simplified. With so many pages and features to cover, it's just as much work if not more. Another problem before was font color reading on different skins. If we're all on the same one, we all know what works.

If enough interest is shown.. I'd be up for making one CEC layout, one RAE, and one standard SP.com (which would be very similar to the current skin.) That way everyone is covered and we have a little variety. This still wouldn't be for awhile though, due to scheduling conflicts, but now is the time to let your voice be heard.

Staff meeting... I can just see you guys all sitting at a CEC store with serious faces on saying stuff like "We NEED new forum layouts!" "Now that the RAE section is down, what next" and "No body under 15 allowd on forums!". No I finally relize how you guys make decisions, LOL =))

Just a suggestion... I thought it would look nice and kinda go with the CEC theme. Because after all, that is the colors Chuck is wearing now. But yeah I guess it was a little weird the way I said it.

lol! Well you know, that meeting with Travis- well, when he didn't show up... it was like an episode of Pinky and the Brain where we tried to take over the world! However, we failed. So as revenge we decided not to finish the styles until 'fall 2008.'

All seriousness though, the new default will not be purple. That much I can promise :)

EVERYBODY knows the font colors should be RED and orangey YELLOW! Both colors represent BOTH Chuck E. AND Showbiz! Woo! Red and Yellow! Red and Yellow!
