View Full Version : Is there a need for a more "live" component?

I understand (unfortunately) the decision behind axing Radio Showbiz sometime ago, due to the changes in the law. However, I find myself really missing the "live" component that kept Showbiz "going" to me. It was so great to listen in and know other fans were enjoying the music with me – like somewhere a Showbiz was still in operation, the smell of the pizza wafting through the arcade as the lights and sounds of the video games play across the room...

Is there anything out there on tap for recreating a live experience? What exactly is the SPTV thing I heard about?

Thanks for addressing this - I check the site every day and really enjoy it.

Well we had discussed trying to come up with something else to replace Radio Showbiz, which was why the Podcast was added when the law changed. The podcast was a nice addition, however no one really contributed to it or were as pleased as they were with the radio, so in turn the Podcast kinda flopped. Now we are discussing possibly trying to come up with something better, but it's just a matter of finding another outlet to connect to the viewers. As for SPTV, that has been placed in the back burner due to a few unforseen complications with the concept.

Sorry I couldn't give any better answers. We are always looking for better ways to reach the viewers, and do appreciate your continued support :)

Aaron pretty much covered it all.
The podcast has slowly went down the drain because no one partcipated. Brian and I simply don't want to waste our time if we don't get listeners partcipating...we tossed up many ideas to call in to the hotline, but we only get a very small amount of people that actually call in...it's not fun for us if we can't have fun with you. Plus the fact that it takes about 2-3 hours from start to final editing to complete one episode.

Anyways, I've been running some ideas past Travis that are currently in a secret concept/design phase. Once I get Travis's "This Better Be Good" seal of approval, it will be up and running in no time and It's something I guarantee EVERYONE will enjoy it.

That's all I'm saying...for now...>:)
