CEC Nightmare

Last night after closing Chuck's I went home and went to bed and had a horrible and ridiculous dream.

All Chuck E. Cheese's(or at least my store) started to be open 24/7, which means they were open all night long.

The dream started like any other...I was closing gameroom I think and than I noticed how much more the store got dirty, and so on and so on. Alot of guests were still there, and than after a while I noticed it was eleven o'clock on my cell phone and I was all 'crap WTF shouldn't everyone leave'. I told my GM I should get going, and he's all, no you gotta stick around...so I figured...ehh whatever.

So for awhile I sorta was just noticing alot more guests were coming in and I was struggling to keep the place kept up cause no matter what I cleaned up...it still was a mess, and more garbage piled up, it was crazy. So I checked the cell phone later and it's like 12: 45 am and I'm all HUH? WTF is going on....I stormed into the kitchen yelling and wondering why there was alot of folks still around...

GM: Matt, didn't you hear, I thought you would since you are our Chuck E. expert....all CEC's around the area are now opened 24/7, we never close now.

Matt: That's insane...what parents bring their kids to CEC in the middle of the night?


Of coarse....I than see three birthday parties coming in, than I just start to lose my mind, and I was just wondering...why is this happaning. Yes you bet we were being treated like crap by all the guests....as most of us were tired and wanted to go to bed...all I kept thinking was this was CEC's biggest low.

Than at one point I remember clearly the kid check girl had friends come in who were smoking hot and I was standing on the other side of kid check....they were wearing red sox hats and shirts for some reason and than I was muttering to myself while staring at them....'God...there so hot'....than I hear a growl from elders on the other side of KC trying to get in with one of the old ladies going....

Hag: Excuse me stop looking at the girls...we are trying to get inside for the Birthday Party, we've been waiting...


*Finally snapping...

Me: ALRIGHT THAT DOES IT, THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR....WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALL HERE ANYWAY? IT'S 2 AM IN THE MORNING...WHY WOULD PARENTS CELEBRATE THEIR FRIGGEN KID'S BIRTHDAY AT CEC IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT...(pulls rope) THERE...DOWN TO THE SHOWROOM...ENJOY NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP THE NEXT DAY!!!

So after, I went back to kitchen and the GM was telling me about the noise he heard....our DM JC was there too so I begin to rant and whine on how this is so stupid and asked why CEC was opened 24/7 now. JC explained the company wanted to make even more money...and figured to just keep the stores opened all day and all night....and I'm all...."The company is full of people who are seriously paronoid and need to get a grip"...than I walked out of the kitchen...and I went to the showroom, and everyone was asleep...so I just had my mouth dropped for a second...than I just fell flat on my stomach around 6 AM and I think that was that....thank god that was a dream...


Imagine if that really happaned....CEC's finding a way to get more $ by keeping all stores opened 24/7 (like McDonalds)....I sorta wouldn't be surprised if that was an option they came up with.:-O

If I ever moved to MA and there was a 24 Chuck and you worked there I'd schedule my birthday party for 3:00..AM and you'd be my Chuck Matt (lord know's i'd have a hard time getting J out of bed that early

I had a nightmare once that I fell asleep in the skytubes and I was locked in Chuck E. Cheese's for two days because they were closed for some holiday the next days. THAT was creepy

Ok my son also had a werid dream about cec he likes it a little bit his dream was that we were going to the murrieta ca store and it sais murrita ca store now closed my son and i were shock so we went to corrana ca so that was the dream

Your dream is a bit scary indeed. It could only mean trouble if they were open all hours. What kind of horrid things would go on during the night hours in a bad location? I'd predict there would ultimately be more harm than good that'd come outta being open 24/7, but you never know with how things have been going lately.

I had this dream once that they opened up a drive thru CEC,they didn't have any robots but they had a playground and the characters were painted on the walls and they had CEC music piping through the speakers,I also had this dream that CEC had brought back a weird version of the three stage but they were behind glass,kind of like a museum,I've had other dreams too most of the dreams I have involve going to a cec only to find a RAE playing there,or both playing songs together...the onky nightmares I have ever had involved robots turning evil and chasing after me...

If a CEC was 24/7, the college crowd would stay up all night at the location for a private party or something like that.

Wow, that’s a pretty vivid dream regarding Chucks’, I think…I can’t remember, but when I was a kid, I used to have a lot of dreams that revolved around ‘The King’. Which is extremely weird since I never once even stepped foot into the cabaret room, but I always saw him passing through the halls, and it was like he was always following my movements the way his head and eyes moved…

I can’t fathom a CEC being open that late either, I mean, yeesh, fast food is one thing but I’ve never heard of a sit down place being open all night, usually it’s just places with drive throughs. That would drive me mad too after awhile, especially if the guests were disrespectful.
