Burlington MA has gone through Phase 4!

You heard it here...store #488 finally got Phase 4...man, I think it was about time they turned our ancient fifteen+ year old store into a newly fresh version of CEC...although they did trash alot of my 'childhood' fav artwork, and portraits of the characters(I managed to get some stuff from the dumpster though;))

So we got a bunch of new games....BUNCH. And man, you'd be surprised what games they got rid of here in place for the new ones. Whac-A-Munch, Color Crayon, Artic Thunder(!!!), Photo Ride(WTF?) etc.

More pics coming soon, but I got a few up for yall to see...

At least they kept those Character portraits up rather than switching them out for those KIDS HAVIN' FUNNN photoshop disasters :\

They actually just received those character portraits, along with the crappy kids posters as well. The character portraits are hanging where Mt. Rushmore, ''A Dawg's Life', and 'MC Chuck E' use to hang while the kid posters hang where all the other Music Album parodies use to hang.:tired:

That's really interesting. None of the Phase 4'd stores I've been to have those.
I'm really, really going to miss the parody posters. Those were one of the big things I associated with my trips to CEC 'back in the day'...:ohwell:
I wonder what the eventual, inevitable Phase 5 will bring. It can't be much worse than those creepy-ass kid posters.

Alrighty, I got some more pictures......before I post though, I wanted to let you know something that may shock you a bit, along with all the new posters, we got that old Rat CEC 'Make Magic, without it were just another pizza place' sign!!! I don't know why we received it, or how, we just did. And before you comment on the the picture....yes I know, the colors of Chuck on the sign are vice versa...guess whoever made this copy of the sign must have dose off LOL.:))

Isn't there a salad bar poster with Jasper on it?
I keep hearing about it, and saw one really small image of it but I've never actually seen it in a store.

There not gonna put a new exterior sign up because the Landlord would not allow it which sucks because the exterior we have now is a piece of crap and can barely light up at night.:rolleyes

And a Jasper Salad Bar sign exists, I have seen a pic somewhere, but we didn't get it at Burlington, we got a different sign.

I believe the Jasper pic is of him riding a tractor plowing a field, right? I believe West Allis has something along these lines.

You actually got a load of good artwork on your walls, which is probably a rare thing considering how many stores get the stupid kid art practically everywhere. They just scream "horrible generic paintings!"

That's the one. I wish there was a bigger version available, that's my favorite peice of store art in a long time.
