I figured it was finally time to make a post about this weird stage that I assume was some sort of either rescue mission or test... It's in Lynnwood, Washington... If you look closely you can see they utilized props from both shows so a 3 stage WAS there first...

Yes, this was a former showbiz that was converted to a CEC. Last time I saw it, it was one of a few handful franchise stores in the northwest states.

That looks like a big store from the outside! I see some of the buildings are from the 2-stage and the rest from the 3-stage. Great pictures!

I know. Why did they replace the CU bots for that?:-/

Probably because they're easier to maintain than a set of 3-stage bots. More movements = more hassle.

I was having problems figuting out what kind of stage I used to go to in my childhood. And it must have been one of these types of stages. Because I remember Chuck in a tux and having a lever-like mouth. And I remember pasqually not actually holding his drum sticks. And I also remember it being a 3 stage. So was there one in California at one time?

Also I wonder if they have to make a special data thing for that show. Because the 3 sets of curtains and other stuff that isn't supposed to be present.

Maybe the old Cu bots were in bad shape and in disrepair. i'm leaning towards pizzacam here i think this was a test stage.. It's cool!

The RAF was removed and replaced with an existing 2-stage from another store. This store had a 3 stage CU that was trashed. When I last heard... the 3 stage computer operated the show and the Cyber Bots were merely connected to the old 3-stage) computer. I do not know which valve banks were (are) being used.

Yep those are the RAE spots!!!! But if you look in the photo section. The 3 stages in Florida still have the RAE spots as well. Those pics were taken in 2004 so I don't know if they currently have the RAE spots or the Raztech..

I wonder if this letter had anything to do with it......

No. The letter from Creative was referring to Concept Unification and the reuse of the RAF stages as MMBB. CU did not prescribe the replacement of 3 stage show characters with new robotics. It just did not happen.

my guess would be that the 3 stage bots were not working anymore so they replaced them with those ones. maybe studio c wasn't available yet. maybe it was and they didnt want it and still had a choice.

Cyberamics 3-Stage Show?!?!?!?
I Thought the Only CU Stages that use Cyberamics are:
The One Stage,
The Two Stage,
& The Road Stage!
Some Locations have the Curtains Like the 3-Stage Show!!
Some Locations have the Curtains like the New RAE Show!!
The Only Show That Uses Rock-Afire Animation
is the one... the only.. 3 Stage!!

Ah I see. Personally, I think the bigger the spot, the more attention it brings to the characters but I guess CEC did not think so or they thought they where obsolete. I dont know.
