I want it too but can't afford it right now.

Has anyone picked this up? Is it worth the money? (I've been designing movements for my figures and writing sketches for them, so now I just need to make them real. I have another "building animatronics" DVD (http://halloween2go.com/volume1p1.htm) that is really good, but it doesn't cover pneumatics or show control.)
I just ordered one - I'll post a review as soon as it arrives.

I have one on order. It's just taking him awhile to get it together. I'll give a full update when I receive it.

I'd love to buy one, but I just don't have the extra $300 to throw around, even though it looks like a lot of fun and hey, I always did have this notion to have a sort of animatronic head on one of my mom's angels around Christmas time, something that would accurately lip sync and look "real", even if the rest of the movements were kinda random, at least the head would be sync'd.

I have one, but I'm waiting a bit until I write a review up. I want everything fully working and be able to program shows. Right now my tape deck is messing up, so I need a new one.

I'm thinking about ordering one as well. I have already figured out what I am going to do with it. Since I am a digital person, I was going to design a show program, and use my computer to output the beeps to control the character. I'd have to make a separate plug on my computer or reassign one like, line in to another speaker.

Since it's just tones, and MIDI ones at that, driving the chip response, I plan on using GarageBand on my Mac to toy with it at first, if I need to move up to my copy of LogicExpress later, it's there...

I need to finish wiring mine. It's only half done. One of these days I'll have to do that.

The kit looks like a ton of fun, particularly if people come up with customized masks and bodies for the head.

It's a good starting point to understanding the basic concepts of animatronics.

It'd be a great starting point to learn the basics of AA and have some fun in the process. I'm not tech-savory enough to bother with it but many are.
