Hey! I recently found this site, and have been lurking for several days. I used to visit the Orem, Utah ShowBiz Pizza location, which later became and still is a CEC. Visiting ShowBiz and CEC was a huge part of my growing up. I didn't get to go more than once or twice a year, but when I did get to go it was pure magic. I visited the Orem, Utah CEC last Thursday to find that the magic wasn't there. I had to strain to hear the show. The volume was way too low. Each character was in sad shape. Each one functioning only a little. I remember in the 80's, watching the RAE was like watching a rock concert. That's what made it truly great. It seems as if the show at this particular CEC is no longer where the emphasis is. Not only did the people running this CEC obviously not care about the show, but the kids really didn't either. It was....weird.
Anywho, I'm glad to be here, and look forward to talking to many of you.

What Cec Stage Do You Have?

We have the 3 stage in Orem, UT. There's only one other CEC in Utah, and I've never never been to it. I think I'm going to try to hit that one up within the next week or so.

I shot a little bit of video of the cec stage in Orem, Ut. The quality isn't the greatest. I'll get more video next time I go. Pasqually's mouth was stuck open the whole time, Jasper's eyes were crossed the whole time, etc. Do things usually run better than this at other cec locations? This sure isn't how I remember it when I was a kid.

Well, first of all, welcome to the forums. Secondly, the video was pretty sad, but I thought Chuck looked sorta OK. However, here's the bad news: hardly any of these few ramaining three stages, two stages and even one stages are in poor shape and condition. Nobody cares anymore it seems. However, there are the rare few out there still running great. It's just a mtter of finding them, and no, that's not how it used to be... But it seems by the late 90s, the 'caring factor pretty much flew out the window, even for the newer Studio C....
