Here is the latest mention about the Rock-afire and the new documentary coming out. It has a link to their trailer, and asks the question... "Is it real?"

Also points out that Thrash's videos are not available... what a shame.

Neat!

Brian mentioned another RAE press link that was posted on friday at the very top of their homepage, and left for the weekend apparently (even trumped Tim McGraw's concert scuffle clip).

I'd post the link, but the site has.... um... a lot of NSFW material. If anyone's interested, you can PM me or Brian about it though.

Oh man! What movie is the trailer being attached to? That looks so awesome!

I know almost everyone in the video... Chris Thrash, Aaron and Travis... but who is the guy in the clip right before the clip of travis?

I know that the RAE will never be as big as they were in the 80's - I think even Aaron's biggest dreams don't include those 100 hour work weeks and 200 shows... BUT I sure would love to see them claim their rightful spot in POP culture. They have been forgotten about for far too long.

Wow it's Beth!

The other guy in the clip is CaptSlappy (Mike S.) I was crashing at his place when this interview took place and they wanted to interview him as well.

But I do agree with you 100% that the Rock-afire does deserve its place in pop culture. Everything from the 80s is hot again right now, and I am glad to see the RAE finally included in that.

I'm not all too keen on "Love in this Club", at least not in comparison to the great shows that came out of the ShowBiz era... but I'm hoping that the final result of this movement is that the RAE will become recognized, and people realize the RAE's true highlight was how much it meant to the children of the 1980s.

Yep... Here I am... Alive!
I've been keeping my head down, as in recent months the drama and issues just didn't need anyone else invloved.
But how can I keep quiet when I see such an interesting trailer!?!

Yes, I agree that the "new" stuff doesn't take the place of the original shows... but I know it's unrealistic to think that new shows could be produced at the quality of the originals for a price the current show owners can afford.

Chris Thrash does a great job with his animation, and his work is the reason I like watching the current shows even if I don't enjoy the individual songs.

So Travis, hows your show? Did you get it set up yet? We're working like the dickens to get ours working by the time the new movie comes out. We're hoping that the movie might get us some free press to help "the cause' up here in the North East... since most of the action seems to be down there in the south.

Our problem is we built our show outside, and weather conditions affect our ability to work on the repairs. It's under cover - but when it's 100 degrees out - it's just no fun cleaning MAC valves or replacing air lines.

Anyhow - it was nice to see you are in the movie too, as you have a big roll in the comback since most of us would have never met if it wasn't for you page!

Have a good holiday ....
Beth and Chris

I didn't know til last week when I was rewatching it that I had been edited in. I wasn't expecting it so it was really cool. I have been sending the link around to show people. As far as laying low because of drama, that's why you haven't seen much of me in awhile and why there is no longer an Animatronics World group. I got tired of hosting the battle ground for the conflict.
