You know, I kind of recall this topic coming up before...but I was just wondering today did anyone use to have a c64? I have fond memories of mine and the games I use to play on it...these are some of the games that I use to love playing on it as a kid...
Zak McCraken
The Ultimate Wizard
Invaders of the Lost Tomb

There was also this "Barbie" game that my best friend had that I loved...the whole object of the game was that Ken would call you up and ask you to meet him at the pool, dance, etc...and then you would have to go shopping for an outfit, and be back in time for Ken before he picks you up. I was usually late. Lol!

Never had one but my friend did. The Commodore 64 was so much fun.

What was the Commodore 64? Was it like 32x for SEGA Genesis?

No it was a computer. It was it's own thing and not compatible with Apple or PC which pretty much back then was just IBM. You could do other things with it like word processing and getting online before there was a real internet but it was mostly favored for video games.

Besides the Commodore 64, do you also remember the Commodore VIC-20 computer in the 1980's?

I had the Vic-20 first then the C-64.My brother still has a lot of software and computers in storage.I had a Hearsay 1000
for my computer. It was a voice generator and voice command module that plugged into the back of the C-64. I also had a Koala pad. That was a graphics table to draw with.

AHHH... those were the days.

Yes! I have both my C-64 (still all hooked up including modem) and my VIC-20 computer systems, complete with tons of software and periphs!

Both machines have been seen on my TV show in the past and back on June 25, 1984 Chuck E. Cheese played "Donkey Kong" on the VIC-20 during a guest appearance that day.

Does anybody remember an online service network for the Commodore 64 called Q-Link? That company eventually "mutated" into America Online (AOL).

Amazingly enough, very recently a Commodore computer "guru" recreated (revived?) the old Q-Link system on the Internet.

That is so cool that you still have your C64, Rapid! It's funny how all the old school video games still interest us, even with all the advances in modern day video gaming.

And I have actually seen that Rapid episode where Chuck E played Donkey Kong!
