Time for some fun!

What cartoons did you love to watch as a kid? You know...the ones you jumped out of bed for...ran into the kitchen and grabbed your box of cereal and rushed to sit in front of the tv to see?

For me, some faves were:

Looney Tunes
Casper
Woody Woodpecker
Popeye
Smurfs
Wuzzles
Gummi Bears
Ducktales
Thundercats
Muppet Babies
TMNT ( orignal)
Tiny Toons
Animaniacs
Batman ( 90's version)
Gargoyles

I'm sure there are other, just can't think of them at the moment.

How about you?

robo rob mentioned Voltron

That show kicked butt!!!

I used to watch that back in the 80's, with all the very cool lions transforming into Votron. I was so crazy about those toys too...i wanted all the original metal japanese lion. I bought 3 second hand years ago...still searching for two more!

Some day before i die i will have a COMPLETE Lion Force to form Voltron!

YEeeeeeessssss!!

One of my all time fave shows was Thundercats, which i listed above in my OP. I have a lot of the action figures still, displayed in my room. That show was just so flipping COOL beyond beleif. Mumm-Ra was awesome, as was all the Mutants. Snarf was annoying as heck though....but Panthro was just about the coolest of ALL! Jaga too....

Man i am such a geek!

lol!

Forgot to mention i went through a Scooby-Doo era too in the late 70's ( watched the re-runs of the original 60's series). I loved those mysteries.....but i could'nt watch Scooby in the 90's. I hated the new shows....and above all i could'nt stand Scrappy! Argh!! He drove me NUTS!!!!

I know Kerry like Scrappy though....

"Ta da da dat, Ta Da! Puppy POWER!"

( barfs)

Lucky for you Jenn, there are some alternatives out there for your Voltron fix.

Toynami recently released or will release a Masterpiece Voltron that will feature all the members in a high detail sculpted form. They connect by magnets, similar to Baron Karza from Micronauts, which mackes the actual working lion toys easier to add in detail. Just dont put it next your computer.

As for the older sets, that toy set has seen a multiple of rereleases. You see it was first used as a toy in Japan called Golion. The toy was reused as Voltron, of course. Several companies have rereleased the exact same toys under the Voltron name and sometimes without it. Basically if you dig around ebay a minute. You could put one together pretty fast. Not to mention, they are cheap. Aside from the Golion toy, there isnt that high of a demand for the toys.
