Theres a few restaurants in socal called "johns incredible pizza". i went there for my second time today. (only cuz i won a free buffet the first time i went). i dont think ill go back anymore.

picture this... chuck e cheese with no show and a buffet only menu.

you must buy a buffet to enter. its $7.99 + $1.50 for soda. There is no "live" show. instead there are different themed dining rooms. one is the kids room that plays cartoons. another one looks like the beach and plays surfing videos. theres a room that plays music videos. theres 2 more, dont remember the themes. each room has some booths, tables with chairs, and tvs on every wall.

then theres the gameroom. the games use a point system and cards instead of tokens. 1 point is some weird number of cents. like 15 or something. games cost like "2.3 points" and "5.4 points". so you never know just how much you're spending. you just know you're being ripped off. like cec, mainly games of skill.

there is, however, also a mini bowling type game, and a 9 hole mini glow-in-the-dark golf course. theres also bumper cars, and a build-a-bear type store.

the merch counter is bigger with cooler big prizes, but its interesting how the lack of a mascot really lowers the desire for the smaller prizes. i guess having chuck's head on stuff really does make it cooler.

maybe ill go one more time to take pics for you guys. its a cool looking place, and interesting concept, but i always feel like it costs too much. and i miss having a live show.

overall, i leave the place feeling ripped off... whereas at cec i feel like i get a lot of value for my money.

Kind of like CEC/Peter Piper meets the 1970's Ground Round (The 1970's Ground Round restaurant chain showed old time movies and cartoons on a big movie screen).
