Hey nice find man!

I have a clip of this show from the TV show "Unwrapped" sitting on my Tivo that's been there for over a year. I keep saying that one of these days I'll hook a VCR to it and finally get it put in our video archive, but yeah... I've been lazy.

I've been there... it's been ages. I don't remember him working when I was there last. I plan to go again next time I go to the zoo! yay!

Yes, that is a reoutfitted Pasqually mech from the Portrait Show. From what I believe, the sombrero is actually Pasqually's chef hat. I'm pretty sure one of the "Smarties" on the board knows about this.:->

I was there and I can confirm the sombraro is made out of the chef hat cuz at a distance you can see the top of it. They also have a set of black warblettes singing 50s tunes over the pet isle and an old King in a green costume with a white guitar singing Elvis with a really bad electronically altered speaking voice that sounds nothing like the singing voice. Pedro is Pasqually's modified cosemetics on a Helen or Chuck frame (they are identical)

The Travel Channel just had a show called Extreme Superstores and they had this store on first. At first it was a big store then I saw the birds, Elvis and Pedro A.K.A. Pasqually.

I found this link that shows pictures of the store also the characters except the birds.

When I saw the Jungle Jim's King clip on YouTube, he sounded like actor impressionist Brad Garrett ("Everybody Loves Raymond").

OMG I was at Jungle Jims today and they don't have The King there anymore :'( Isn't that sad!!! They have remodled the place and moved The King because he wasn't in his usual spot HE WAS GONE!?!

YA! It's really cool because it looks like you are walking through a street shops. and jungle jims is on the left and there are all kinds of stores on the right. (such as halmark, starbucks, an icecream shop and more) I am going back on the 22nd because I am going to the Cincy Zoo. :D

Did they fix up the Elvis Lion' (King) to make him sound and talk well? And there's a new talking Campbell's soup animatronic?

I didnt think the campbells soup bot was new, but I could be mistaken.

Only some of the animatronics were working yesterday(none of wich were the ptt bots.:-/) The Brain,Corn and Butter, and the soup can were the only one's that were working yesterday.

When I was there this summer The Warblettes and the retrofitted Pasqually Mariachi were not running. The Elvis robot (King) was in as bad a shape as the first time I saw it 3 or 4 years ago. The mouth doesn't even close all the way, the eyes and head twitch but don't turn. The hands, eyelids, hips and most everything else is out. The only really good working movement is the foot tap. People love regardless. They have no idea how bad off this thing is. If they could see what it looked like when it was in good working order they'd be blown away.
