Oh yeah, Jul has some very nice stuff that she's been gracious enough to share.

Some of it will be appearing very soon, especially in the character/stage sections as they're updated. The character concept art will probably be posted in there as well.

I was waiting to post the photos and concept sketches of the Concept Unification prototype stage until I could get a little bit more information, which I now have, so they'll be posted very soon. It was really cool to get some inside perspective from that transformation period in SPP/CEC history.

Gabe did send me a bunch of scans months back. I could have just posted the photos, but to be honest, Jul has some really nice stuff in her portfolio. Including some stuff that breeds more questions than it provides answers. I wanted to make sure that when these images were posted to the actual website, that they were put in the proper context that they deserve. Some stuff is so odd and unique I'm still looking for a proper home.

So give me a little time and everything will be shared. I can only update so fast, so Gabe if you wanna post some or all of the photos here on the forum please feel free to do so. My only goal is to make sure they all get shared eventually. :D

Crusty, Foxy, Sally, etc were before her time. She wasn't there in 1977. She started around 80 and she was responsible for helping to create characters such as Harmony Howlette, Madame Oink, King, Dolli Dimples (the 2nd version from what I understand) and pretty much all the characters from Harmony on.

She said she didn't have anything to do with Dolli either... appearently Dolli was before Jul's time too so that means they already HAD the second version out by '80...

She worked for Pizza Time Theatre and later SPT in Irving from '80 - '91

She did design B.B. Bubbles so appearently B.B. was from '80 or '81...

She also designed some stages and facades like the original CU concept, the C Stage...and the Road stage was her last project bfore she left SPT.

Shelly started as Jul's assistant...and Jul had her do the illustrations in the CU installation manual and from then on Shelly began doing alot of the artwork and later Character costume designs like the new digs they all got at the Irving store(Japser's leather pants, Helen's pink dress and rollerblades, baseball Pasqually etc...)

She later did the illustrations in the 2 stage installation manual once Jul had left... I'm not exactly sure WHEN Shelly Atkins left CECE but when Jul asked about her the other day at home office they said it had been a while...

I know she eventually got promoted to Director of Entertainment. I think she got the job after Gene Cramm.

Yes, Jul had a lot to do with B.B's creation, however i am am skeptical of her being around that early. B.B. was one of the last characters to be designed and issued by PTT Inc. before it folded , and she did'nt even appear in resturants until 82'.

My educated guess is she was created in late 81' but more then likely early 82'. Only Jul can clarify that.

I have seen her concept sketch for B.B. and it is very close to what she actually ended up becoming. It will be great to finally see all of these i mportant new "finds" added to the Showbiz.Com Site as a lot of this stuff is "must see'.

Yeah as Jenn said, BB Bubbles didn't make it into stores until late 1982 (at the earliest) and might have even been early 1983. As far as her creation date, that depends on how long it takes for a character to go from concept art to finished product.

This issue of "The Pizza Times" is from Oct 1982 and mentions the new pink elephant character (still doesn't have a name at this point) on page 6.

I'm glad it's back where it should be...in the hands of someone who'll take care of it and appreciates how rare and historical it is! =D>

Yes, she owned all three of the ones that were there originally (Chuck, Jasper & Pasqually) but appearently they trahed the Jasper and Pasqually... ~x(

Alot of those framed pictures at home office were just on loan from her... ;)

So Jul still has the framed photos including Crusty, Foxy, Sally, Harmony, Wolfman Zapp, Mopsey Sisters, Madame Oink, Little Shavers, and others that I saw on the walls of CEC HQ in Irving, Texas (which I toured/visited in May 2001).
