I thought that I would introduce myself to everyone here... my name is Pamela Parrish and I will be 37 in a matter of days. (May 1st) I was a fan of the original Rock a Fire when I was little and I hope to see the animatronic shows restored to their formar glory...
I hope to meet new friends and maybe collect some stuff involeved with the RAE or CEC... I would hate to see the shows go away... That is the best part of the resteraunt...:fruit::bbembarassed::rolfe:

What can I do to help save the stage show? I go to one on Macsway here in Columbus Ohio. In fact I am going there to treat myself in honor of my birthday this weekend. I would love to see the stage show repaired and referbished.. I wish that I could make the company see that they need to fix up the shows... Maybe then the kids might get interested again....

Welcome to the forums. You'll enjoy them. Some days it's kinda slow but most of the time it's got new stuff coming in.
To answer your question, you could start out in helping these fabulous shows by working @ CEC and becoming a tech manager, and fixing up the show, stuff like that. Maybe then... somehow, you could get up higher. I'd love to someday see this community be able to help out, be it written suggestions or something else.
Remember to have fun. :)

Wouldn't you have to have some experience in working with computers or fixing robots like that? I am in a wheelchair and I graduated High School in 1990... I never got to go to college... I am trying to get a job there but so far no word on my application...

Well, I'm not sure exactly what you need to be a tech. I suppose prior knowledge would be an advantage, but then, when they get a new employee, it's the senior employee's job to help train you in the job he/she's leaving behind. At least that'd be the right thing to do. Good luck with your application. ;) :cec_thumbs:

I'll throw in my welcome as well. It skews a little young here in audience, so I'm glad to see someone who enjoyed the shows back in the day as I did. Nothing like seeing the board filled with posts! Keep it up – you asking questions and commenting is what keeps the place alive!

I hope that the CEC near where I live will at least give me the chance to work at such a fun place... I even thought about doing a fund raising thing to help pay for the restoration of the animatronic shows... Silly I know.. but is is an idea....
