In the hospital!

Hi gang, Im actually typing this laying in a hospital bed. Friday I was hit with a gaul blatter(sp) attack. I was in major pain and ended up in emergency. Its been 24 hours and they dont know what to do with me. I am no longer in pain, but I havent eaten in 39 hours! Im sooooo hungry! I could sure go for a pizza right now:rollin :rollin
Im hoping to go home tomorow, but we'll see. I could be facing surgery!

Hello from beautiful Burlington Lahey hospital. Its 5:45am I still have not had anything to eat or drink for 44 hours now!
If any locals want to stop by Im in room 6 central rm 33.
Im hoping to find out thismorning if I am going to surgery today. Thanks for all the well wishes!

:rollin Thanks Danny! I needed a laugh. Its 10;15am the Dr jusst came in and said I will be headed to the OR either later today or tomorow to have my gaul bladder out! Im not looking forward to that. Im still soooo hungry.

That's a pretty good hospital. I live about 5 or 10 minutes away from there so i pass it all the time, and my grandfather was in there for a while a couple months before he passed. Everyone there seemed great with him, so i hope it's the same for you! :)

Hi gang. Its 4am and I am finally up to typing a bit. I went to the ER at 3pm and was back in my room by 7pm. I am really achy right now, annd not even the morphine seems to be helping! They went in by laproscope and I now have 7 more holes to join the 6 I had from the bypass. Im hoping when I connect the dots It will be a CEC character:lol
I think they are going to allow me to have breakfast at 7. Its been 67 hhours scense I llast ate. They also say I might go home today. Thanks for all the well wishes.... Ill keep you posted

Glad to hear you are home safe! Man, what a week! I'm really glad everything worked out okay. What's the status now as far as your other operation coming up in March? Will it be delayed since this happened?

I'm a bit surprised they did'nt feed you after 44 hours or so...surely they must have administered something to prevent dehydration. Wow....

Good Morning, Im home and in pain. The perkoset are soooo good though! My next surgery(March 2) is plastic surgery. As most of you know I had a gastric bypass May of 2004 and Ive lost over 250# I now need to rid myself of all the loose skin around my middle. No it has not postponed it. In fact, I dont need to go for preop meetings, bue to the fact they drew enough blood and ran all the tests they needed to. I was due to go in today(tuesday) but now I just meet the surgen on the 16th and thats it!
Well, gotta go get some fod mmmmm food! I'll be here if anyone wants to talk!

Hey J!

I need to check this board more often.... I just now found out about your troubles. It's a good thing they took it out though, a messed up galbladder can kill you.

My uncle has had all sorts of trouble since his ruptured a few months back. Infected his pancreas and all sorts of other troubles that I won't go into - but needless to say he almost died on a few occasions. Even now it's touch and go.

Sandie had hers taken out about 5 years ago, right when her and I got together. Same deal there, but she's been doing good with it.

HI gang. time for a quick update. I am slowly feeling less and less sore. I am trying to spread the pain pills out longer each day. I still have some pain in the largest hole in my stomach. Hoping to ge back to work Monday. Also worried about the storm we expect here in the northeast as I am not able to shovel too much, and I dont want Cheryl to have to do all the work.... If your around Sunday in the storm and want to make a quick buck or two...:rollin
And no I wont be able to make CV3 this year... with being out of work this week and then 6-8 weeks in march, I wont have the money to bring Cheryl and myself to Texas. I would love to come, but money talks..ya know!
Unless some very generous fan out there wants to fund our way... we wont be there. I have told Jenn she better make sure everything is taped so I can see it all. I especially want to see the rock-afire show!
Ok on the update for now... I'll keep you posted on my next surgery as we get closer(March 2)
