well many people hate myspace with a passion, since there are so many idiots that use it, kinda offsets the fun of it sometimes.

I enjoy it to keep in touch with people from forums/games/schools, and i use it as a portal to my other sites.

Dateline has been doing a series on online pedaphiles. I saw part of the first one 2 weeks ago. They mainly focused on yahoo but it was online chatrooms. Apparently the third part this past Friday was on Myspace.com and warning parents that it is a haven for pedophiles. Young girls post their whole lives on their site including class schedules, phone #s, and every detail of their lives.

There's your problem, kids who are unmonitored on the internet posting everything on their lives!
thats just stupid, and people really need to learn some common sense.

No, your kid was stupid, and you should have been
A) monitoring what they were doing online
b) teaching them to not give out personal info.

Amen! On a related note check out my post in the heads up again. That little 7 year old kid I was warning everyone about is on there and is listed as being 20. He wanted to buy some stuff from me. I was suspicious immediately but the give away was he has his email posted.
