So what's the deal with the Limited Ed Plush...

So i am wondering:

What's the deal with the Limited Edition CEC Plush these days? Is it just me, or has the series been "forgotten" about?

I ask as it has been some time since we have seen a new release...and there is usually a X-mas Edition every year. So.....what's the deal then? Anything for this season? Anything forthcoming?

The last edition was..what, this past Spring? It seems the series is being phased out, which is a shame considering how nicely these were made, not to mention they were targeted to the collectors market.

Just wondering.........

Scuba Chuck : Last i heard about him, he was a rumor and i have yet to have heard otherwise as to if it WAS actually released.

Who here actually has one? So he DID come out after all?

I never saw him in these parts. As far as i know, the last one was the 2007 Birthday Chuck ( in the cake) which i consider the Anniversary Chuck ( since it was released close to CEC's 30th).

So if Scuba Chuck DOES exisit....when did he come out? How the heck did i miss him??

Hey, nice to see you too! Yeah i have been busy ...mostly work and reality....so have not been around here much. Nice to know i was missed!

There have been 2 dozen or so Limited Edition Chuck released since the first edition in 2000. The Christmas-themed ones i recall were these:

Santa Chuck ( 2000)
Reindeer Chuck ( 2001)
Elf Chuck ( 2002)
Christmas Tree Chuck ( aka "Tree Cheese") 2005
Toy Soilder Chuck (2006)

There was also a "Winter 1derLand" Chuck released in 2004 ( or was it 2005...i forget and i'm too lazy to get out my list....) but it was issued after Xmas.

So does anyone know if we are getting a X-mas Chuck E this year? Looks to me like we are not, or he would be out already.

I think Matt does but I've actually seen them...I saw them at the Military Dr. store when Matt & Rodney were up here in Oct or Nov... forgot

I've just kind of slowed my collection of them down to like "Oooh how cool, I want one" because as it is, the 20+ or something I HAVE are just in a bag in my closet and I pull one or two out based on the season or holiday... :p It's getting to be like the collector cups...no room and(I'll catch up on eBay at a later date) :smokin:

we've had the Scuba Chuck for about two months now. I'm surprised you guys haven't seen much of him! We've got him all over the place down here!

Well the way I've heard it "works" is you only move onto the new LE once you've sold most or all of the previous ones...or at least that's how stores down here do it. They don't order another set until they need too so we usually have xmas/holiday LE's pretty late down here still... :laugh:

lol! Too true, that's how it is for me, I have all of them sitting in a box by the closet and they never get seen or touch, unless I add a new friend. Luckily I get one free when our store gets new LE's, so when I bring it home, I grab the box and stare at them all...then 5mins. later the box gets shoved back into the corner by the closet with the new LE on top.:laugh:

I can post a pic of Scuba Chuck if anyone wants me to, its basically him in a yellow wet suit that says "CEC Diving Team" on the front. He has a air tank on his back with a resperator connected from the tank to his mouth. He has a life vest on, goggles, and is wearing fins...thats basically it...and his stomach has beads inside of him, like Beanie Babies.

We just got scuba chuck at our store but havent put him out yet and we never got the biker chuck... I go to a bigger store about an hour north of my store because they always have the new ones before we do because they go through them so quickly... we still have 2005 dolls...

Man, I wish I could go to CEC and get a plush, I'd really like one. Whenever I go to a thrift store, I always look for CEC stuff =-)
