Hey, I have a question. I was Googling and found a unique 1-stage. It has a colorful star behind Chuck E. and says something behind Jasper & Pasqually. Does anyone have info about this unusual stage, pictures, and what it says behind Pasqually?

Also, I have started 3 new articles if you didn't know on Wikipedia. They are on MMBB, List of Chuck E. Cheese's characters, and Galaxy 5000. If you'd like to contribute, do so.

That "X-Entertainment" article is what brought me to this board. :D

Sorry to bump this old thread up.
That's the Staten Island, NY location. The sign behind Jasper and Pasqually has "Now Appearing" and the MMBB sign painted. It doesn't light up at all.

Staten Island, Huh? How did they manage to get a different stage? I've never seen one like that before! I guess there's quite a few different styles of stages out there aside from the common 'known' ones.

that looks COOL! makes me wish i'd made more of an effort to locate that store. I think i'dve had more fun there then watching a clunked out peice of crap at Funstation USA. that RAE was in the wiorst shape.

I mean, look at the curtain lining. It's not straight. And Chuck E's star is colorful. I like that stage!

most of them have the curtain lining like that. It's because the curtains don't open and close horizantally, they rise up and then fall down.

It's right off Route 440 and past a railroad. Actually, it's not too far from Fun Station USA.
Also... I was able to make a trip there yesterday (the 28th). Meant to post about it. :\
Chuck's left arm didn't move, but was in great working order otherwise.
Pasqually and Munch worked, but Munch was turned to stage left enough to be unable to play his keyboard/tune machine. I blame kids turning him (they were doing that). Pasqually STILL has a dangling mustache.
Jasper worked fine, but his right eye seemed a bit damaged. It worked, though.
Helen was in the WORST condition. Helen didn't move AT ALL except for her right arm, and very, very occasionally moving her mouth slightly. She might've blinked, too.
I think only Munch's and Wink's spotlight worked (Wink works by the way). The store has Phase 3 stuff on the walls.
The speakers above the stage didn't work, and you could hear the show better in the game room.
The Kid Check person did check the numbers. Toddler Zone is still there, and I didn't notice any new games (i.e.- Flaming Finger, Mario Kart...).
It's almost as if it stayed the same from when my cousin had a bad birthday experience in 2001 (long story)...

Alright, haha I can't stand the Staten store being dumped on anymore. Staten is a very unique store, hence the reason for the unique stage.

I have some more info about the Staten Island location. It seems to date back to at least the early 90s, since I found a drawstring bag in my house with an early-90s Chuck. I couldn't find it in the "Chuck E. Collectables" section. Here's a pic:

And some stage pics.

Helen and Munch. That was pretty much how Helen was stuck.

Chuck started some wear and tear.

The "Now Appearing" sign.
And I captured some crappy video of them performing on my digital camera too. Note that the audio's terrible because the speakers above them don't work whatsoever.

Thanks Wakko. Helen looks really dead and her eyes are closed. Sounds like a really noisy show. And you're right about Pasqually's mustache. Do they still use curtains? Also, I love that Now Appearing sign with Munch's hand playing the keys. I wonder if this stage was special for receiving that sign

I didn't mean that type of curtain. The lining. It's curtain shaped, unlike straight like this:

No, they don't use curtains. :( It was REALLY creepy after Helen "performed" (if you can call it performing) "I Heard the Bells" and opened her eyes- almost no movements whatsoever.

You're right Ryan; this is from the Staten Island CEC. I recall the Skytubes set up like that (Along with some giant Geppetto horse ride. Or something.). As a bonus, the Johnny Rockets video on that account is from the Staten Island Mall. :p
I also intend to make another trip there next week and snap more, better, less-focus-on-the-CEC-stage photos (and crummy video?). Yay for regents (for the clueless (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regents_Examinations)) week. :indifferent:
