Did anyone notice on the March 19, 2006 episode of "The Simpsons" another CEC/Discovery Zone related parody place called "Ruffintumble's Fun Zone" which is nothing but cloud bounces and climbing walls a la Ronald's Play Place and the late Leaps and Bounds/Discovery Zone?

i really miss DZ and Leaps and Bounds. we actually had two that were REALLY close to each other out here, though I preferred leaps and bounds since it was all about tubes, which i pretended was the corridors and airvents from the film "aliens".
DZ seemed to be a rip off though.1/10th the playspace (though it was more soft jump around psychotic stuff)
and they CLAIMED to be all about health and fitness, but then they served you this disgusting pile of grease they called a pizza with a large coke!

Yeah.. I've seen a lot of CEC parodies on TV.
I saw a Johnny Bravo cartoon where they went into some pizza place that featured a rat mascot. They had a creaking robot rat that could barely move on a little stage in the corner of the dining room.... after Johnny walked out the door.. it exploded...LOL!
All of the parodies in the cartoons featured creaking, rickety robots that could barely move... (I think that might be a hint to CEC about their care for the shows..lol..... but I dont' think they care too much really...)
I've seen a good many other parodies on a lot of other cartoon shows and sitcoms as well.
An episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" featured Ray and Debrah taking their kids to a pizza restraunt with an arcade and a rat mascot. Raymond complained about going.. naturally..lol! They showed kids running all over the place, screaming throughout the entire scene in the restraunt. The walkaround mascot had a hole in the head for his face and he was wearing a rat nose. Ray talked to him... The mascot was very rude and obnoxious... it was funny!
Then there was an episode in the last season of
"Growing Pains" where Chrissy (the new younger sibling of the Seavers that was added in season 7 as a baby and grew up to 5 or 6-years-old by season 8.... WOW.... TV time sure passes by quickly.....and it's funny.. nobody else got older..)
Anyway... Chrissy wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese's and Ben made a wise-crack about throwing food at a mechanical rat.
Then there was an episode of "Cheers" where Woody wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese's. He said they were "A place of culture and sophisitication" (I didn't even know Woody had that in his vocabulary..lol)
Here is a list of shows that I've seen that made fun of CEC at one point or another:
"Growing Pains"
"Cheers"
"Family Matters"
"Everybody Loves Raymond"
"Step By Step"
"SNL-- Saturday Night Live (of COURSE! what would you expect??LOL!)
"The Tonite Show"
"The Simpsons"
"Futurama" (they also took shots at Disney World in one episode)
Various Cartoon Network and Nickolodeon Cartoons
There are countless others that have taken shots at CEC at one time or another.... but notice nobody has ever taken shots at Showbiz Pizza Place or The Rock-afire Explosion....
It's either because they weren't well enough known..... or because they were too cool to be made fun of.....
All I know is.... Showbiz was never made fun of on TV when CEC has always been..... that should tell CEC something......

Speaking of the Simpson's, sadly Fox only ordered 2 more seasons and then it's getting the axe. :(

Speaking of the Simpsons/CEC connection: A 1992 Simpsons episode ("Radio Bart") features a CECPTT parody called Wall E. Weasel's where the animatronic show sang to birthday boy Bart "You're the birthday, you're the birthday, you're the birthday boy or girl..."

I knew it had to come to an end sometime, but still..:(
