In Illinois, at the Enchanted Castle in Lombard only (NOT Fox Valley), they have this dragon, and princess type of animatronic show. The sad thing is that it's always the same program. This is the show: http://youtube.com/watch?v=spuf5x8ABdI

At Rainforest Cafe, about every 30 minutes or so, there are apes that move around, and do jungle type of stuff. They make noises and move around, but they don't talk english like Chuck E. Rainforest Cafe is located in Gurnee, IL and Schaumburg, IL. It's also located in Chicago, but I don't remember if there are Gorillas there.

Of course, Disney (in Florida and California) has a huge assortment on animatronics. You have It's A Small World, Tiki, Tiki Room, Haunted Mansion, Pirate's of the Carribean, Dinosaur (I Love this attraction), the Yeti on Expedition Everest, Indiana Jones, and the Temple of Doom, Spaceship Earth, Journey Into Imagination, Splash Mountain, and so on.

I've just learned about this. At Disney World's Magic Kingdom, at Cosmic Rays, they have a guy called Sonny Eclipse that sings. He's an alien of some type. He doesn't look that good to me though. One the best animatronic shows like a Rock A-Fire Explosion even though it's definitely not as good are the Country Bears at Walt Disney's World Magic Kingdom.

There used to be this place called Circus World in Rolling Meadows and Bloomingdale that USED to have animatronic Circus animals. I wish I could that show again too, but I don't know of any video. They had the lion dude, and the acrobat person, and I remember a cannon.

Does anyone know of anymore animatronic shows besides the ones I listed, and the ones are affiliated with this site?

I have an update for the Enchanted Castle show in Lombard. I just called them, and they said that there show plays 3 sets of songs for 4 minutes each.

Yes, it's not long, but it's a good show to me. To bad, they couldn't make it longer.

I think Brian told me that Sally Corp. made the animatronics for Enchanted Castle.. ( right, Bee Bear? )

And we've got pictures from Circus World Pizza on the site. :

Omg, guys. -ALL- of the animatronics at Disney are incredible. :] My favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion. Like... if I could... I would totally live in Disney World. It's like HEAVEN for me. :D

This is the list of the stuff they made. -> http://www.sallycorp.com/company/customers.htm
It doesn't say Enchanted Castle, but yet Enchanted Castle changed hands. Haunted Trails bought them out, or they merged with Haunted Trails and Enchanted Castle together. Before, they weren't the same company. Haunted Trails is the small little arcade and Enchanted Castle is the huge gigantic arcade.

There's a lot of animatronic shows out there, many of them in CEC knockoffs. But we all know RAE and CEC robots are the best =-)

As I posted earlier in a different thread, here is the Care Bears Care-a-Lot Castle show made by Sally Corp. that played at Dorney Park in Allentown PA from 1988 to 1992.

There's a hotel in Sandusky, OH that has animatronic birds. I think it was called Castaway or something like that. They talk and sing and stuff every few hours or so. They were pretty cool.

There's an arcade called Nathans on long island that used to have an anatronic show, but I havn't been there since I was little so I don't know if they have it anymore. I don't even remember what it looked like, but I think they had a show selector like the RAE.

Are you talking about the Nathan's on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown? I remember passing it on a bus last year and it didn't look like it was open. That restaurant actually used to be the last franchised PTT to open in the New York City area (operated 1985-1987) and it did have a rocker stage at the time.

Oh yeah, I forgot

*In Virginia Beach, VA, there was a cheap animatronic pirate promoting a ride. Has anyone ever been there? They used to have a Showbiz

Don't Forget the Rock N Roll Rebillion from Major Magic's! That was the closest to CEC and the Rockafire explosion. Only 1 remains I believe in Toledo Oh.

Also that one we found on Youtube a former 2 stage singing "CottonEyeJoe"

The old Santa's Village theme park in Dundee, IL (closed down in 2006) once had some animatronic show in the mid-late 1970's, I think.

For those interested, or in the area, StoryLand in NH has a working Circus World show. SOme of the songs were written by Bobbie Gosh, the samy guy who wrote for Circus Playhouse(they use some of the same songs in both shows.)

The Circus World Show at StoryLand is GREAT!!

The animations are limited, but the characters have a lot of appeal and the show itself is well done for what it is. I loved it....a nice way to spend the afternoon.

Of course, a huge factor in it's appeal to me was the simularities it had to the old original Circus Playhouse Band show ( from Circus Playhouse Resturant). As J noted, both of these shows use the same songs, though the StoryLand show uses re-recorded versions.

Storyland is a mecca for AA shows: They also have the fab "Farm Follies" which is a clever show that incorporates a mostly AA character stage with various vegetables and a live actor dressed as a scarecrow. A very different take on the typical Animatronic production.

Oh...and let's not forget about that gofer guy in the hole near one of the sidewalks at StoryLand that spends all day popping in and out of his huge hole advertising about the show itself! Cool stuff in StoryLand for Animatronics fans.

I have no clue what company created these shows. Circus World Show is the best of them all as far as appearence of the characters and movements, if you were to see only one.

Hey J, do you have any pics you could post?
