Those are what I use, snaps from lowes, or any craft store. I guess I've always been able to get them to crimp with a snap tool alright. Guess if you have super thick latex though you might have probs.

Yeah they look like vice-grip pliers and you put the 2 pieces together to make the "male" part of the snap and then 2 more pieces in it to make the "female" part. You can make it easier by making a tiny hole in the fur or latex first... :cecwink:

thats what i did but the prong part that gets smashed isnt long enough to go through th latex.

Try making a hole in the latex first then just crimp down the pliers very hard... also use a piece of vinyl or thick fabric in between the snap and the latex to enforce the area so when you ever UNSNAP that snap it doesn't tear right out... :cecwink: :cecwink:

He's saying the prong part that gets folded over itself, is too short to go through the latex.

I know what your talking about. If your mask is to thick, Then you need snaps for leather. I don't know if you have a A.C. Moore store in your area, but that is where I have bought them at before.
The snap is the same size but the prong thing is a little bit longer.
