Hello there!!
I have been on the board for quite some time now so I thought I would introduce myself. The name is Terry and I am 32 years old. I was born, raised, and still reside in Salina, Kansas. When I was about five in 1980, a Showbiz restaurant opened in the south end of town. I was there every Friday night for about two and a half years. The was THE night every week when my dad had the money to take me, my bro, and my sis. He got really sick when I was seven and a heart attack took him in the summer of '82. I lost my enthusiasm for going to SPP after that and my mom never had the money anyway as things got really tight when dad died. I think the place closed up in '87 or '88. I know it was gone by the time I started high school in '89.
To this day, I still have a few of the 45's, which are in horrible shape, that my dad bought me and I still have my Billy Bob doll, complete with guitar!! Finding this website a few years ago really ignited my passion for SPP and the RAE and I am very grateful to be a part of this community. Thanks to Vega and everyone else who has made this site happen!!
