Anyone familiar with the new radio franchise called "Jack FM" which is an announcer free radio station playing mixed hits from the 1970's to the present. Owned by Infinity/CBS, it recently added 2 new major market stations (both on former oldies radio stations) - WCBS 101 FM in New York City and WJMK 104.3 FM in Chicago.

Yeah we have this here too... I think it's 105.5 FM. Must be really new because when I heard it today in a restaurant the first thing I thought of was this post.

Definetely a strange mix of music. Not as crazy as when I put my iPod on shuffle, but still a neat assortment of music.

The Chicago market also has a Jack FM clone called Nine FM that's simucast on 92.7 FM in Chicago, 99.9 in Kankakee, IL. and 92.5 in DeKalb/Rockford, IL.

Speaking of Jack FM, with Chuck E. Cheese taking over Radio Showbiz for April Fool's month in April 2006, it's sort of like Jack FM, CEC plays what he wants!
