Did the birthday child receive their own pizza and cake? this is what was done at my local CEC during that time period and i'm curious to know if that was the standard in those days. keep in mind my local store is a franchise.

Wow I doubt it but who knows...I had a birthday party there around '87-'88 at Showbiz Pizza and it was obviously during the whole merger but I just can't remember how that all went I know everything was Showbiz Pizza paper and cup-wise, but you'd see both Chuck & Billy Bob...

Our PTT stores in Wisconsin were 100% Chuck E Cheese and the Pizza Time Players. I never saw any Billy Bob walkaround, or any artwork or merchandise with any of the Rockafire Explosion on it. Though I did hear it became more common at SPP to see Chuck.

Same here, I never seen a SPP place where I lived growing up in the central valley of Caliornia. Although, in the YouTube section of this site there is a video clipping of an Evening Magazine Report that did a PTT vs SPP segment that proves there was a SPP in the Bay Area. Even still, I never had visited a SPP when I was in that area back in the day.

Well in PTT days, it was standard that the Birthday Child recieve there own free mini pizza ( today's "indie"). Cake was provided for the party, but the B-day Child did not get there own all to themselves. Many mid-80's Chuck E. parties added a "Chuck E. Cake" ( with Chuck actually on it in frosting) for an additional fee ( usually about $6.99).

Hope this helps!

that must've been it although back then they still had the Sara Lee cakes but my store didn't put Chuck on the frosting they DID put the names on w/ thatred icing. man I miss that. it was so cool having a cake all to yourself. Had this been the case w/ today's cakes they serve at CEC I would have shared mine. (they now do the standard party stuff iforget when they quit giving the kid theire own cake at my store.

they'd probably kick the Billy Bob walkaround out if he showed up. now if he showed up at a 3 stage store he MIGHT be able to make a few friends.
