Billy Progress

Thought i would share some of the progress i got done on my billy bob today.
I went and cleaned up his base and sandblast all the rust. then i painted some parts and put it back together

As you can see the foot tap is missing. I have the parts but the foot snaped and i still have to bring it to my local blacksmith to get it wielded together. (I cant wield aluminum)

Im getting him fixed little by little.

but i put together the head left right mechanism wrong so i tore it back apart and then stopped. the weather is currently too nice in my area to work on it but i'll get back on it in the fall/winter.
thanks for the comments im really pleased how he is turning out. luckily my dad owns an auto shop and he has a sandblaster. sandblasting dulls the aluminum finish but it gets the rust right off. from the looks i know ill need to get two cylinders but other then that all the others look okay (we'll wait and see) but i know i'll eventually get him working

i forgot to say:
i was creating a page on my website that would follow billys progress but as of yesterday im changing sites so now i have to swtich everything and ill eventually upload it.

also theres a good chance that i'll aquire something that has to do with this hobby and i've been focusing on that, but i dont want to announce anything yet because i dont want to jinx it.

i would like to thank circuspizzafan for telling me which way to put that stub or whatever you call it. I had it backwards and had everything put together all wrong. but now its right
