Veganova here's a suggestion, since Incredible Pizza Company is the first mega-CEC/SPP restaurant, maybe you could add an Incredible Pizza Company section to your showbiz.com website, and an Incredible Pizza Company forum on this board. You don't have to if you don't want to, it just my suggestion to you.

Hi Ed,

Incredible Pizza Company really isn't the purpose of this site, so us focusing on it would defeat the purpose in a way. Right now, they don't have anything to really go towards the purpose of this site. As for adding a forum for the Incredible Pizza Company, we probably won't add one unless the concept expands and basically a solid show of hands request it be added. Perhaps later down the road we can add one... but I wanted to give you an answer quickly.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Incredible Pizza Company...? Does CEC have a new competition? I haven't even heard of this - maybe I've been living under a rock or something. Anyone have more info on this?

And yeah, an entire forum for this would be too much - but I think a thread related to it would be just great (if there isn't already one started somewhere on here).

Good point Aaron, it's pointless to have a non-CEC/PTT/RAE part of the site.

huh. It looks to me exactly like the "Austin Parks and Pizza" we have here. They have video games, laser tag, go carts, rock climbing, mini-golf, etc. Ive been there a couple of times for parties but overall it doesn't live up to Chuck's.

I think this place could be the next great CEC competition, but until they get some awesome animatronics, I agree it doesn't have the appeal that PTT, CEC and SB had. Course I'm still mourning SB all these years later!

There will always be competition, but look at old track records.

The Incredible Pizza Company? I could just see Chuck E. Cheese's taking that company out of business in say 3 years flat if there is such a company as Incredible Pizza Company. Besides nothing could take the place of Chuck E. Cheese.:D

Chuck E Cheese's is a one of a kind place that could ever be replicated.

Yes, another entertainment pizza joint could open up and may or may not have an animitronic show. But the bottom line is that no other place like that would ever come close to being on the same level in the publics eye as a CEC. Chuck E Cheese's started this whole concept from the beginning. I mean, look at all the places that tried to copy the CEC concept and eventually failed i.e. Major Magics, Circuis Pizza, etc

CEC has branded themselves in the United States. Yes, it would be nice to have another company go into the market and compete with an animtronic show. But then again, watching another animitronic show that doesn't star the Fab5 (MMBB) just wouldn't be the same.

CEC has made their dominence in the pizza entertainment business

Sorry, you guys like it or not I totally think Incredible Pizza Company will totally compete with CEC. Already stores and franchises are starting appearing everywhere, Incredible Pizza Company is getting very close to becoming the first CEC type concept to have locations in China, they already have locations in Mexico.

About the idea of the Incredible Pizza Company to have an animatronic show, do you guys want to see six teenagers that look like characters from the Archies comic book have their own animatronic show.

Another thing, I had a good look at the size of IPC, it is 18 times the size of a CEC.

One more thing, IPC has been reconized by the IAAPA as one of the top five entertainment centers in world, that is major reconition.

So it looks like CEC is in for a tough challenge.

Here are a couple of articles.

I will be going to Lafayette Louisiana IPC and I'll tell you all about my experience and I might even show you guys some pictures.

I almost visited one of these here recently (like less than a week ago). I noticed they mentioned Tulsa being their home... I was tempted but when we rolled through there it was pretty late and I'm sure they were closed.

Might be neat to check out one of these days if I'm ever around one - I noticed there's supposed to be some here in Colorado sooner or later.

It'll be interesting to see if this does grow in the years to come. Even if it does become competition for CEC, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Competition is good and IMHO is the only thing that'll help keep CEC fresh and evolving.

Oh, and for those mourning SPP... just remember - it didn't go away really, it just became CEC. :bbwink:

Well, this could be an interesting development. There is a video on the company's website which will give you an idea of just how big the place is. I'm not sure if this is direct competition for CEC, but more for fun and entertainment centers as well. I think it will be interesting to see how this company will fare in communities with established CEC restaurants. My thinking is that it will have to gain a longterm and diehard fan following like CEC and SPP have done to stay alive. It might be interesting to see what happens.

*Sigh* Do you have to say "CEC is best" Some of us happen to be SPP fans, too!!

I don't see that company (Incredible Pizza) as being anything different than these other arcade places. There are tons of arcade places, and ride stuff. One thing that Chuck E. Cheese has that these other places don't have is the show. Now, CEC is trying to eliminate the show one character by one because it costs so much money.

The other thing they have is the advertisements. I don't see many other arcade places advertising like they do. They have coupons in the paper, and advertising through commercials well the other arcade places are just waiting for people to find them. It's a well-known brand. It's been around for awhile. It's like Target, or Wal-Mart.

I believe that the main reason why people on this forum really like CEC, Showpizza, and PTT is because of the animatronic shows. Thus, without an aminatronic show, it's really nothing special. Those places are pizza places for the most part, and some arcade games you can find elsewhere.

I agree RalphWolfe. If there were never animatronics, we wouldn't have a forum. Or a website. I don't think this place will have animatronics with six teenagers wearing 50's style clothing.
