Wow!!! you are SOOO WRONG. You must be getting your Music Information from Kazaa. I checked with the music director of True Oldies Channel, as well as hit the big book of Billboard record charts and...
"Little Red Riding Hood was written by Ronald Blackwell, the Chart topping version was recorded by "Sam the Sham and the Pharros" ("Wolly Bully" fame) way back in 1966. Steppenwolf didn't hit the streets until their first album "Steppenwolf" in 1968.
There were a few covers of this song, most recently by "Bowling for Soup", but Steppenwolf is not, has not, and should not do this song.

As far as I know, that song was recorded post-SPP but prior to the Gold Collection. Maybe it is on the Gold Collection... I'm not too sure on that. I know I don't have a copy of it, but would also like it if anyone out there has it.
That was one of the few post-ShowBiz songs that I actually like. Most of that Gold Collection stuff was pretty bad... even the stuff that used the actual Rock-afire voices.

Not on the "Gold" collection, but on the Video for the "New RAE" shows at one time.

I checked the robotandgames site and menutia is right it isnt on the gold collection. But what video are you talking about for the "New RAE", was it made for them too? I know that there is a classic rae version because there is a video on youtube of the billybobs wonderland rae singing it.
