I've got my VHS dub all ready to go and will mail it tomorrow. But even with Priority Mail that's no guarantee it will reach TX by Monday (I ought to know, I mail videos out regularly). Can Gabe take Express Mail?

Ok gotcha!
Another question...last year after I produced that show where RTR interviewed Looney Bird, Jen said it will be included on an upcoming DVD. But I'm not sure whether she meant the Letters to Looney Bird disc or the CV4 dvd as a extra. Jen or Travis, please let me know right away, so if it goes on the CV4 dvd I'll send a copy of that along with my CV4 tape.

The Rapid T. Rabbit interview with Looney Bird is slated for release as a bonus feature on the forthcoming "Letters to Looney Bird Live" dvd. Travis now has the "master" tape of the release....and i did include it as planned. Yay! The "LTL Live" disc will be released at some point later this year, and will contain all 4 ephisodes J and I shot over the course of 7 months with the J's CV3 Video Message ( that started it all) and the RTR Interview.
Now getting back to the topic at hand, the Cv4 dvd will have it's own bonus features, and i will leave it up to Gabe and Matt as to what they could be. It will probably depend on what sort of additional footage they recieve, and what it covers. If you guys have enough material, go ahead and do a 2 disc set if you wish. I will leave that up to you wether or not to do a one or two. Perhaps the Rock-aFire Pizza visit could be considered a "bonus feature" since it was not officially part of CV4?
Another idea would be to add on some great early PTT videos as Bonus Features...such as the great 81' Promo video showing a complete overview of the original concept. Another gem would be the wonderful 82' Nolan interview. These would be awesome additions to add on, as even though you can watch them here on showbipizza.com, many a fan would love to actually own copies of them ( myself included!) I'm sure Gabe has all the early stuff somewhere in his collection.
Here's another idea for the Bonus Feature: How about assembling a montage of various images/videos of CEC all through the years? Start at the beginning...move through the years...and end up with CEC of today. Set it to music that changes with the era. This would be the only time i would deem modern CEC material appropriate. You guys are welcome to flex your creative muscle!
The only thing i would not put on the disc for Bonus Materails would be anything related to MODERN CEC specifically. That means NO LIVE SHOWS please, and no "modern" music either. Please keep the material strictly PTT only. This is the RETRO disc celebrating the 30th Anniversary and i would like to see it heavily themed in that direction. Along with the CV4 Logo, use the early PTT Era graphics. If you need some , let me know and i can e-mail them. The older, the BETTER. For music, use the early PTT shows ( generic skits from 77 thru 83' are best). Just some suggestions that would fit the theme and create a retro mood.
As long as the show is themed for the celebration, it will fit.

Yeah I don't have that Nolan interview...But I agree that it should have mostly a PTT theme so it will...if anyone can get me any Nolan interviews they have or rare PTT stuff we'll toss it in SOMEWHERE. There WILL be a bonus footage area with stuff FROM CV4 but that'd also be a great section for any PTT or Nolan stuff... :cecwink:

That 11th deadline might be hard for some folks out there... I didn't realize that it was coming up so quickly. Mine will be in the mail today (along with Gabe's iron-ons) so hopefully it'll be there. I'll throw in a copy of that Nolan Interview plus that '82 franchisee promo just in case it can be added to the new DVD.

I think that this is an awesome idea. I always thought that it would be something pretty neat to see a montage of the beginnings of PTT to the current CEC. A suggestion that I would like to throw out there is on the montage. How about ending the montage with Chuck singing "My Way" from the CEC Dreams show and showing a final picture with both classic Chuck and modern Chuck together. What ever you guys decide, I know that this DVD with be great! I can't wait until the release!
Your hard work on this project is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, i like this as well. Damon's CV3 "Photo Album" on the Cv3 Dvd Set was very nice. Let's do another one this year, but set it to music.
Thanks Vega for offereing to send those two videos i was talking about earlier. The 82' interview with Nolan is priceless and captures his personality very well. The PTT Promo is also a gem...as it covers everything pretty much and has some excellent Classic Era Balcony Show footage.
Okay....i have now made a copy of the footage i have and will be mailing it tomorrow morning before work. I may have to overnight or 2-day it to be sure it arrives in time. It was difficult to get this done on such short notice, and i can only hope the tape came out ok as there was'nt even time to re-watch and check everything. From what i saw, it should be ok. There is about 45 mins to an hour. Most of the footage deals with what we did AFTER Cv4. Here is a breif list of what i am sending:
San Jose area drivethru with approach to Santana Row sign
Santana Row Chuck E. Chess game and photo shoot by fountain
San Jose CEC location driveby
San Jose CEC photo shoot by the Statue with the Two Chucks
San Jose 30th Birthday Bash footage, including one Live SHow and Birthday
Chuck with his decorated cake
Simi Vally CEC location Showroom overview
Show Computer and Show sample
Showroom signage
"Porch" Stage Show sample
Placenta ( sp?) CEC "Road" Stage footage
Drive out to Rock-aFire Pizza past numerous wind farms
Drive up to Rock-aFire Pizza
Rock-aFire Pizza Show Footage
CA scenery from the road
Corona CEC location between remodels
Interior shots of it between remodel
"Road" Stage show samples
There is also some additonal footage of us driving around in West Hollywood...and a funny segment featuring Menutia going through the list of places on the GPS. Includes a drive by of Paramount Studios too!

I would have to say no to the old ads....as it really does not directly relate to the anniversary really. Besides, Gabe and Matt will have more then enough material on there hands to deal with.....lol...!
I sent my tape out yesterday afternoon, and i had to 2-day it. So it had better show up Monday or i want my $20 back, USPS!
Gabe, Matt: If you guys need images...really retro stuff...like the original early PTT logos or ancient pix let me know and i can e-mail them to you for use in the production.
