I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but it needs to be addressed and stop before it continues and gets worst.
Ever since we introduced the new forum, we've had many more features, some more advanced than on ezboard and it's a learning process getting used to the changes. The switchover went smoothly, with little to no complaints about that so I'd like to thakn you all for your cooperation and patience.
My concern right now is that our private message system is being abused by certain members, despite my constant attempts to explain why certain things are not okay to constantly do. I know many of you have been PMed, despite requesting not to be about certain events going on in our chat room and I apologize that your requests were not respected. The fact is, when you recieve something that you neither asked for nor anticipated getting, it is spam. This forum does not tolerate or accept spam in any way, shape or form and it will be eliminated, no questions asked.
That said, I have revoked the use of the PM system for the user(s) who is/are spamming other members.
Hope this gets the point across that our PM system is not a toy, and hopefully things will get better so access can be granted again. I hate having to come down, but we have to respect other members equally.
I'm working on a new project so we can set aside a night and time for special chats perhaps once a month, and hopefully we'll have some more news on that soon. I've gotten a lot of requests for a chat night, so rest assured your requests have not fallen on deaf ears.
