Before I say this, don't worry, I'm not trying to make Christians out of any of you, and I'm not catering just to christians. I just hope this will inspire you in some way.

I heard something on television today. It was a true story about two missionaries who went to Kenya to spread the way of Christianity.

They prayed that their God would give them a safe, trouble-free journey. They stopped in London only to find later that they had missed their connection to Kenya, and the next one wouldn't be in for seven or eight hours. They wondered why their God could not answer such a simple, unselfish prayer. They were angry.

Finally, their flight came in, and the staff offered them two seats in first class. Later on, the plane suddenly took a nose dive from 50,000 feet to 4,000 feet and dropping fast. The two men heard scuffling going on in the cockpit. They went in there to find a deranged man (this was before 9/11) trying to take control of the plane. They restrained him and all was eventually well.

There is no doubt in my mind that if the God Christians worship had answered these mens' previous prayers, so many more people would have died on that flight that day.

I personally think it was their destiny to get held up that day, so they could be heroes on that flight. I think the God I worship wrote the script so that they'd be held up, then positioned right up in first class (the right place, to hear everything and for the perfect timing)...and then, when the timing was right... lifesavers.
