On occasion Department 18 will alter the lyrics of a song, yes. If you found the lyrics and noticed somw words were altered, then you answered your own question without asking us.

Does that still make it a song cover or a department 18 orginal?:p so does the department have to pay the orginal artist for alternating the song lyrics?:p:p

Technically under song licenses, sometimes you have to slightly alter the lyrics or music depending on the record company. I can understand that being the reason why in "Celebration" in this month's tape, they shout out "Yahoo!" instead of the proper line "Whoo-hoo!"

It was done by Roxette, which was one of her greatest hits, she also did "Almost Unreal" from the Super Mario Bros. Movie back in 1993. "Celebration" was done by Kool & The Gang, it was a no. 1 hit when it was released in 1980, and it's also one of the most popular songs of all time.
