Is anybody (else) interested in having breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel on Monday morning? We probably should reserve that now.

Awesome job Richard.....this should be a treat! Do you know what the current price rate is per person now? It would be good to confirm what i have listed in a DL guide.

It has been a LONG time since i have done a character meal. I have had many opportunities when i go down to WDW in FL, but usually pass on them as i tend to want to stay away from concentrated groups of small children and their young parents. I have to deal with this senereo all the time when i am at work, so when i am on "vacation"...well, you get the picture!

This will be different though.....here we will have Characters Performers in our group meeting ...uh...Character Performers !

I have often heard that the food is excellent here too....so it will be a good meal for what should be a very active weekend.

Let's be sure Menutia has a keg of strong coffee all to himself. After all the driving he will be doing that weekend, he will probably be needing it by Monday Morn!

I'm passing this one...I hated doing character dining when I worked at Walt Disney World. I guess I don't really care since I've been on the other side of the fur!

Hey Bzier...that's okay dude.

This is optional for those that want to do it.....it IS a extra cost but the food is great from what i have heard over the years.

I can definately relate to the character dining experience from the "fur side" though....lol.....so totally understand why you would want to sit this one out.

It's all cool though.

Bzier, are you going to be joining us at DL that day?

I myself personally took some of the magic I felt at Goofy's Kitchen back with me to CEC@U-NJ during the years I found myself at both places. That is why when I was Chuck E, I always took the time to bounce from table to table (and sometimes even game to game) so as best I could make sure everybody of all ages got to meet Chuck E.

Speaking of which, will Chuck E. spend some time with all of us at our table in San Jose during his official 30th anniversary celebration at CV4?

Yeah Jenn, I am planning on going to Disneyland on Sunday with you guys. I've obviously been to Walt Disney World a million times (I worked there as a character for a while!), but I've never been to the original park, Disneyland. It's been a hope and dream for me to see. I'm really looking forward to it!

Wow! This will be my first time to "Walt's Original" too!! How cool is that?

Like you, i have been to WDW many times...it's like a second home now really...it's gotten THAT frequent. I go back in late Sept for the October 1st Fan Rally i organized for EPCOT's 25th Anniversary. Should be fun!

Anyway, Richard: Yes, i can pretty much guarentee Chuck E. will spend some time with us at the 30th Bash in SJ. He is the Birthday Boy after all...and if things work out in our favour he should be around a while. He WILL nauturally be out to do the Live/Birthday song...which of course we all will join him in performing...right gang?

Wow that's really cool! Can't wait for that CEC bash! Hmm, I've been wondering, exactly how did you book our party reservation at SJ since it's not really any of our birthdays, and the birthday star is the mouse himself? They probably blinked twice taking down the details on the hotline.

For someone like myself who lives on the East Coast, it's kind of ironic that I've actually been to Disneyland more than Disney World. That really had to do with me having more reasons to visit Southern California than Orlando (such as the years that RTR appeared in the Pasadena DooDah Parade) and the fact that it's actually so much easier getting around that region on public transit than in FL. I had tried for several stretches to visit DL every year and WDW every other year but with my finances now gone down the tube, that's not likely to continue anymore. But it will be nice to go to Disney at least this one more time, and with special friends like you as icing on the cake.

I booked the party online, with deposit.

Let's just say a achieved it by alternating some of the info.....lol....

Like for example...it's a Birthday for "Chuck" who is turning "3". 12 kids, and 12 adults to attend. All the trappings and more. Originally i was going to go ahead and book it for "Chuck" to be celebrating his "30"th. I quickly decided against this, as back when i worked for the Rat we often had parties that were booked online with wacky info and they almost always were no-shows and just a prank. I did'nt want SJ to think our party was one of these, even though i did pay the deposit ( prank bookings never have a paid depo). I wanted to be sure out party booking would appear to be as "normal" as possible, thus the reason i booked it as i did, Having once worked at CEC and having experience with how the bookings are handled in-store, i felt it best to change things around.

Once we arrive and things get going, it will become clear to the staff that this is actually a bash in honor of the Rat himself. Hopefully they will get into the spirit of things, and not slag us off like a bunch of loonies.

Our advantage is having someone who works there know about it, and us, and what we have planned. So this should ensure things go smoothly, and it also MAY mean we might have a few surprises in store for everyone coming.

;)

We shall see how it all ends up....
