Both OFW's have show problems at this time. I would like to see these shows fixed soon.

At the Naperville location, the GM said the show stops while it is playing.

Hi guys-

Both shows are back up and running. Unfortunately, the shows do experience breakdowns here and there. Really there's not much we can do but try our best to search out a way to repair them when somethign does break. The regular replacement parts are not made anymore which causes the delay in repair. Sometimes it can be a very lengthy process to find a solution to fix something that is no longer made.

You all know the manufacturer does not supply parts anymore (outside of the masks) and I can't just go out to Home Depot to buy a new neck joint for Duke or Billy Bob, or to Best Buy and get a specialized RCA s-vhs rs232 video deck right when I need it anymore. It's very difficult at times to find solutions.

I apologize for the inconvenience and would again like to ask for your patience during these occasional break downs as we seek out solutions. We appreciate the value and enjoyment they bring to our guests and intend on keeping the shows in use as long as we can. However the life span of VHS tapes and apple computers are fading very fast.

To help avoid any future disappointment, please feel free to drop me an email ahead of time if you plan on making a trip out to see the shows and I can let you know their opperating status.

Thanks again for your continued support,

I was at the Naperville location today, and there were a lot of techs there working on the show. They had it on for a while, then they stoped it to work on it. One of the tech's had an AC adaptor with him. Why does the NRAE need those?

We have had to make our own modifications over the years due the unavailability of parts. Some of those modifications have included installing newer equipment.

The NRAE is a lot different then the regular RAE. Like our "wonderful" curtains that rise up and down instead of moving side-to-side/open shut, and the stage turn tables that feture several different sets.

It's difficult because we can not look at parts made for the regular RAE (they are designed differently) and we have the only two shows made of this type so there's no where else to look for help.

When is the best day and time to visit the Napersville location? I'd like to make the trek from Indy one day soon...

They are open every day except Tuesdays and Wed. The only robot that was not working when I was there was Dook. Mike, do you know what's wrong with him?

It's sad that the shows are in such a condtion, but I understand they're expensive and difficult to repair. It's nice that the 2 examples of the show still exist- we're lucky they havn't been trashed yet.

You can see the show in perfect condition on the New RAE pitch tape that's floating around YouTube.

Mike,

I know you have the only two shows currently operating, but I'm pretty sure there were more than those two shows produced. Maybe Aaron could help you get the turntables working again?

I've seen videos of your two shows; and looking beyond the turntables not working; they're really fun to watch!

When Travel Chuck went to both OFW's with you guys, both shows were broke again. Mike, you should get Aaron (of CEI) to help you with the shows.:bbsad::bbangry:

How about buying Chimpy's Rock A-Fire Explosion show that just closed down in Libertyville this year or last year? Well, maybe some other person got it already.

One of our members purchased the show and has it installed in their home.

I was at the OFW in Naperville today. The show is doing ok. But show selector skits are overlapping into show skits. I talked to one of the techs there, and he had to reset the show twice. He also showed me the tech room. I got to see the computer, Dook (His eyes were missing.) and Mitzi's ears (The tech had said they fell off and that he would put them back on) He also said he would try to get in touch with Aaron (of CEI.) to get it back in good shape.:bb_happy2:
