I was just listening to radio showbiz and after songs like "my girl", "dragstrip in the sky", came a CeC song "BINGO" yes as in B-I-N-G-O!

Its fantastic to see the differences now, between 80s RAE and 2000's MMBB, one side popular music, that drew people to the show, the other, songs that belong on barney.

yeah i know there is a variety in the CeC shows, but I really have never heard any truly "childish" songs from RAE....

opinions?

The kids show tape is really well done tho and used the original voices. I dont care much for part 2 of the show but the first half is really wonderfully produced. They did a good choice of songs and some of it was pretty witty. It does a great job of showing the RAE's personalities and is very true to the format of their earlier shows. Much better than corporate's crap. It really brought back the early days like Magic Night, Trivia and White album. Too bad the RAE was phased out a year later with the MMBB. I think had they continued the good old days for the RAE would have been back.

What strikes me as more odd is the difference between the PTT shows and the modern CEC ones. :)

Yeah the kids show (cyberstar) was the closest the RAE ever came to getting into that realm. At least they did it artistically and not totally kiddie. Aaron's daughter gave that show an interesting edge too.

Plus it was tons better than the TV Themes / Moms tape - that ranks as my least favorite RAE showtape of all time. It's like a good song or two with 4 minutes of crap in between. I hate it more than the SPP-made RAE one. I can forgive them for making something so lame, but not CEI.

But for the radio - the goal is to include a wide variety of music. As time passes there'll be more RAE music (right now is mostly the classic stuff, cyberstar, and a few misc shows). More modern CEC stuff, lots more PTT stuff. And also many older commercials and training tapes.

Let me say one thing I thought was brilliant on a recent edition of it. I don't know if this is the current show or not. I think it was a week or so back but on the list were the "Tune Machine" then a Dolli skit and then the second half of "Tune Machine". I really like that. I would like to hear show tapes in their entirty unless they are show selector. For example. Rather than just take a song or skit off "Magic Night" Let's have the tape in it's entirtey but sprinkle in some intermission stuff. An old commercial, a Dolli song, a Beagles song, etc. would be really cool. The PTT stuff of course has the cheer skits, birthday songs and walk around intros mixed in since the computer didn't play the reel in its entirety in sequence. Of course if you start running modern stuff it comes with its own intermissions but that was just my thought on the subject. A good variety of PTT, Rock-afire and caberet stuff would be a great mix if we could do that on every show.

You know, it's funny, but the TV Themes/Moms showtape is my least fave RAE show as well. I'm crazy about almost everything else that they've done-maybe because there's no Rolfe and Earl in that showtape, I think.

I agree with what both Jypsy and Veganova said about how much different the 80's RAE and the 2000's MMB is, and also the diffrence between PTT shows and the modern ones. Alot of evolving there.

Everytime I go to a Chuch E Cheese and listen, I think the songs they do are childish, or they come out childish because the people who do the voices for Munch, Helen, Chuck E Cheese, etc. don't sound anywhere near as good as the people who did the voices for the Rock-A Fire Explosion.

Plus, I don't remember Chuck E Cheese and company singing songs from the Blues Borthers, The Beatles, stff like Satisfaction Melody, Music Goes Round And Round, etc.
