Do you think the Rockafire Explosion should have done an entire show that had disco music? You know stuff from KC And The Sunshine Band, Bee Gees, etc. Or is disco something that belongs in the trash, like rap, ha ha ha........

Actually, at the time, no! However, a retro show recorded today would be cool.

Well I guess today if the Roack-afire Explosion was still around today that people would welcome a disco show. But ya, I don't think to many people would have wanted a disco show say in 1982, when people were trying to get over disco and everthing that went with it.

But I think a disco show in 1988 would might have been cool. It would have let the parents who were taking their kids to Showbiz Pizza relive some of their childhood.

I'm with Menutia, that today that would be pretty cool but that they never would have (or should have) done it back in the day.

Aaron told me long ago that they recorded Disco Christmas as a way of poking fun - that they were all older rockers and they hated Disco. However, when they recorded it, it turned out to be one of the most fun and rocking tracks they had done up to that point.

Also they made it a point to make Rolfe, the dork of the group, a huge disco fan. They reference this in at least a couple of showtapes. :)

There's a great drawing of Rolfe and Earl by Dave Thomas somewhere on this site, all decked out in Disco wear...you've probably all seen it... Disco Christmas is one of my fave RAE songs, despite being one of the older ones. I remember when I first heard it, I went CRAZY over it!
