I remember seeing this years ago at a ShowBiz in Houston. I don't think it should be like this but why does some RAF character's mouths move very fast like a PTT character rather than slow or smooth...is the air turned up or something?

The mouth is out of adjustment. That is easily fixed by adjusting the flow rate controls.

That show has a lot of problems. Lots of stuck movements and wrong speeds. Is that show still around (Billy Bob's Wonderland)? That video is from 2004.
Who beat up Looney Bird?

At least its rare for RAE (and CEC/PTT shows) to perform in speed up mode for a showtape.
Trey I know what your talking about seeing the mouths move like this. It's mainly because people put the flow controls for the mouth movement under the stage like the rest of them. There is a reason it was put close to the mouth. They shouldnt be moved. But I did know a guy who did this and put them under the stage (mouth movement flow) he thought it would be more convenient to have them all together. But it will cause the mouths to snap open and close. I need to add the video of My Show to YOU TUBE. But if you have seen me on MYSPACE. You can go to my videos and watch a video of my show doing "School Days" And see exactly how these characters should look and move.

What's worse is when there is the original set of flow controls at the mouth AND a set down at the mac valves!!!
Or.. they turn the flow controls around the wrong way. I went to a store a few months ago and over half of Duke/Pasq flow controls were pointed away from the mac valves, so no one could adjust the speed properly. It took quite a bit of time to turn them around since I had to cut new tubing to use. The things you find!!!
For the curious, the other movements that use flow controls at the cylinder are Body Leans and Arm Raises (but not elbows). Mouths and Body Leans also get the dreaded purple tubing (larger I.D.)! Sometimes arm twists have FC's at the cylinder too.. haven't found the pattern to this yet (Rolfe and Beach Bear). Is this right you guys?

By the way, Trey, Inwood is the store I've been trying to bring their show back to life, just little stuff. Thought you could relate to that - isn't that your old store!
Drained about 40 gallons of water out of the storage tank today.. that explains why water was shooting out of the air lines. :rollin

there is a switch on the wall behind curtains on the pasqually stage...it turns off the air compressor...I used to turn if off while we were open for fun and watch the characters slow down to nothing and then turn it right back on before there was no air left...if was funny to see Mitzi try to raise her arms durning that time...I remember a couple of times we would stuff Mitzi with napkins when the curtains were closed and make here appear to have huge breast! my work mate braided Mitzi's hair pig tails once...and the tech during the week unbraided it...so he must have had an eye on her also---funny how dumb things amuse kids!
what's in that room on the other wall near the emer. exit next to the men's restroom--that used to be the BDAY phone room that all stores sent bday calls and here is where the bdays would be booked for the 6 houston stores...I worked the line a few times during the week for about 6 months until I could hardly take the same questions over and over...my ADD would kill me in there.

Hey, do you know what happen to her breasts? They are gone now. She's flat chested! Did you take them with you? Or did the tech get to them first?
Another thing is it is interesting to see the different compressor setups. The setup at my store has the dryer as the very last thing. Compressor -> Storage Tank -> Dryer -> Show. This is also how it is in the blue show manual. But at Inwood and 1960 it's Compressor -> Dryer -> Storage Tank -> Show. And they have the tiniest dryer I have ever seen. Captain's dryer was twice as big as theirs!

Not too sure why, but I know one weekend at the Inwood store the air compressor was not working and the mgr rented a portable air compressor that was outside in the back parking lot and ran a hose inside of the compressor room to the compressor for the weekend until a repair could be made...so how low volume is Inwood now, before we were infront on W Belfort before they closed....funny how things changed FM 1960 and Memorial were the crowning jewls of sales volume way back in the day...and Weslayan, well we could never know how they worked parties as the showroom in Inwood was so large and Weslayan's show was litterly right there when you walked in the showroom.

Yes BBW is still open and I just stopped in there about a month ago (mind you only a bit over a year and a half since I video taped it in 2004) MY GAWD. It was by far 100 times worse than in that tape!!
So sad,, even sadder I noticed that they remodeled the place and put in a laser tag arena, new games, even better pizza,, but the show looked like its used as late night alqaeda target practice

Inwood has been very low volume for quite a few years (I don't think they made it past a phase II remodel..lol). Also FM 1960 is not doing so well. An "Incredible Pizza" opened up down the street from FM 1960 store. Weslayan (my store) has usually done very well because of their location (a few blocks from the highway and centrally located in Houston). Our store is smaller than FM 1960, but it is larger than Inwood and Memorial I think? Oh, that reminds me, I forgot to post the pictures from our new game package.
