CheeseVention 2 Event dvd release update...

Hi folks...

Just thought i would give everyone a heads up on whats going on with the impending CV2 dvd release many are waiting for....

Sorry it's taking a while, but J and I along with Richard are still working on it. At the moment, Richard has started cutting it togther to shape it into the segments for the program. The footage i have seen so far is awesome...we managed to secure some incredible footage, and i'm very happy with the coverage we acheived this time in the filming department. We have SO much more to work with this time around...it's lightyears better then the CV video from 2004! The program will cover all aspects/events at the Convention as well as the various interviews Rapid T. Rabbit did for his TV show in NY. Also included is complete coverage of the Live Shows, as well as the now famous appearence at Canobie Lake Park that weekend! We have a few tidbits lined up for Bonus features and may decide to add on some more as the time of release gets closer. And for those who are wondering: YES...the special video made by Aaron Fechter and Kerry ( "Seals, Monkeys, and Creative Engineering") WILL, i repeat, WILL be included as a Bonus! Aaron has given us full permission to distribute this gem he produced and edited exspecially for us. Those who were at CV2 will remember this video i'm sure...

While Richard has been working on the show in his Studio, J and I over the past month have been getting togther to do sporactic work in the vocals department, recording voice-overs and some wacky commentary. At one point, between the two of us, we had i think 6 characters commenting including ourslelves...all at once ! A little wacky yes...but i think the end result will be a good laugh for everyone, at least i hope it is!

Right now i am putting some music together for Richard to use during the segments and opening/closing credits ( sorry it's taking so long Richard! I've been busy in my travels! It's COMING!!) There has also been some radical thinking between J and myself to create a special bonus program featuring a showdown between Looney Bird and Vern, J's bird friend. This may be shot at a later date and added on as a bonus feature....we'll see.

That's the latest for now...just thought i would let everyone know that we have'nt forgotten about the dvd release and it WILL be coming out sometime soon, hopefully by next month! It all depends on how fast J and i can send off what Richard needs to complete his editing/ assembling and how quick he can piece everything together.

I'll keep this updated when i have any further news!

Hey gang...it's been a while since i updated this...so here's the latest on the CheeseVention 2 dvd .

The program is finished, edited and ready to go! All that needs to be done is some tinkering with the commentary sound quality and to add on the bonus features and menus. Vega will be working on finalizing this project. Also, the cover art is now done and about to be shipped out.

Now the "bad" news.....we STILL do not have a solid release date. I was hoping for a holiday release this month, but the material we have is good and we don't want to rush it out half-baked if you know what i mean...so i'm sorry to say everyone will have to wait a little bit longer for it! Sorry for the delay..but trust me gang..the final product will be worth the wait.

Expect more news by the end of the month.....

Hi Gang...

Time for a update so you will know what the current stauts is on the dvd release.

Vega now is in the process of getting it togther. He has the cover art i sent off recently and the only thing holding up release is the quality of the voice over commentary. This is now being worked on to try to make it easier to hear, as the original pass we currently have is a bit weak as far as the volume goes. You have to really crank the volume to hear what we are saying!

We have considered re-recording the audio commentary, but it's so good the way it is...and so funny at many points, it would be a shame to lose the original takes. I'm told we can get this soundtrack boosted....but it's going take a little more time to sort it out and get it to a worthy point for release.

As i mentioned earlier, there is a section where we have up to 5 characters talking along with us making comments ( and chaos at some parts!) which is a hoot to hear. Looney Bird even pitches a fit towards Chuck and his pals and calls up Billy Bob to come over. This all takes place while we are sitting on the "Dick Frank" couch watching the video footage from CV2....you can even hear Looney "dailing" up Billy's number on his cell phone! Radio fans should dig this big time...

So it will definately be worth the wait. We hope to have it out in the next couple of months. The December release did'nt happen due to time constraints and the usual insanity connected to the holidays ( like working non-stop with no time for yourself or others....zzzzz..) Sucks i know, but at least we know it WILL get released soon!!

I've has some requests recently about where some of our newer readers can get the CV dvds that are already availible. Veganova is the man to contact here at ShowbizPizza.com. Fan CLub Members can purchase them directly throught the Fan Club Store link that is eccessable to FC Members only....but i am told this will soon be made availible to EVERYONE ( yay!) so watch for it! Maybe Vega can stop by and shed some further info on that..

I'll post updates when i have them folks! Hang in there...it's coming eventually!

Thought it was about time i updated this thread with the latest dvd info.

Unfortunately we still don't have a official release date. This program has been finished since September but the dvd release is being held up due to the weak audio on the commentary J and I did.

The hold up as i have mentioned before is it is waiting to be re-dubbed. It's all in someone elses ballapark right now, and we are awaiting this little correction. Again. sorry for the delay. I really want to get this out there as the footage is awesome. If you have purchased the other discs (CV and Behind the Cheese) those pale by comparison. The CV2 footage is far superior. It's frustrating knowing this great program exsists but it's being held up by the silly commentary!

It WILL get released....hopefully before CV3!!

Oh, Jenn, do you want to know what I forgot to ask? How did the "Seals, Monkeys, and Creative Engerineering" video come out? I was just wondering because I know the copy I gave wasn't the best quality...kind of dark in areas....

It should come out just fine...

I sent off all the Master Tapes to VegaNova back in September/October or so...and that one went out with them! It will be will be added on as a "Bonus Feature" and should image-wise look fine.

The CV2 Event Program itself is pretty nice. Richard went all out for this in the editing process and even went to the trouble of adding text during the Trivia Contest so viewers at home can have fun trying to guess the answers themselves! Footage includes extensive views of the hall in full CV2 glory: signage, Cyberamic displays, rare collectibles, and lots more, Watching this you will feel you were there. I cannot stress how much of a vast improvement this is to the coverage we had for the original CV in 2004.

Also included is the entire interview segment Rapid T. Rabbit did that night with CV2 attendees. This segement has a sit down interview with several Board Members, including CEC3066, Chuck Rules, MatHat, TomD, MrMunch88, Shiney Happy Jenn, and a cameo by Looney Bird!

And of course we have complete coverage of Cv2's Live Show Spectacular, featuring all the songs performed by the characters live on stage that night. Perfomers included J and myself, with a special Guest Performance by Richard ( aka RapidTRabbit here on the Board) as CEC in the opening number! This was a momentous moment for Richard as it was the first time he had been CEC in a public performance since leaving his post as Mascot at the Union, NJ CEC location.

Forgot to add one more highlight:

We also have the suprise appearence by Chuck E at Canobie Lake Park when he appeared in the Bozo the Clown stage show! You've heard about it...now you will get to see it ( eventually).

The entire show was shot that day as we had this surprise planned for CV2 attendees for a few weeks leading up to the event. Special arrangements were made and CHuck E himself surprised the entire crowd that day at the Park when he burst out on stage and perfomed 3 Live Shows right then and there! He also remained and was a active part of the regualr Bozo Show. All of this was captured on tape from various agles so nothing was missed!

I belevie we also slipped on some CEC animatronic show footage...but i'm not certain about that at this point. It's been months since i've seen the original CV2 tapes.....i can't remember if some new show footage is on there!

Yes, BOTH of Chuck's appearences at Canobie Lake Park's Bozo Show will be on the dvd...however the 2nd appearence is no ways near as cool as the first when all the CVer's were in the front row!

I have the Master Tape of the bulk of the CV2 Event dvd sitting right here.....i can easily bring it and you can all FINALLY see this thing!!!!!

Vega has the other Master Tape though....it features a few of the extra bonus features like "J's Couchside Collection" segment, "Jenn's Room" segment, and the very silly video Kerry shot with Aaron Fechter exclusively for CV2: "Seals, Monkeys, and Creative Engineering".

As noted in another thread, J has also come up with a fun idea incorporating video into a special presentation for CV3. More on this later as it develops!

Ah yes...that's right.

Sorry about that....i was looking over my tapes the other day and noticed i had sent that Master off to Vega as it has the copy of Kerry/Air's CEI video on it.

So i'll have to plan on bringing it so fans can finally see this thing.

It turns out that i DON'T have the Master of the CV2 Event dvd....Vega still has it!! We can easily remedy this though before CV3. I will definately remember to bring it so ya'all can finally see what everyone has been waiting to see...last years footage!

Okay...it's "official" now...

The CV2 Event dvd footage WILL be shown at CV3!! I will get the Master tape(s) back and bring them to TX for broadcast.

I really so hope these will be seen as being well worth the wait!

Still no word on a official release date.....but at least those coming to CV3 will get a SNEAK PEEK exclusive engagement viewing!

Just think...you can then tell all your friends YOU saw it FIRST!! Just yet another reason to attend this years Event in TX!

At last, i can update!

Latest news: PRE ORDERS for this long anticipated release are now being taken by Showbizpizza.com via the CV3 Website! Woo hoo!! Vega is at this very minute finishing up work on it and making copies for the masses....

I can also now confirm that the "CV2 Event" dvd release WILL be availible for sale to attendees of this years Convention!! YES!! Finally!! So be sure to bring a little extra cash with you to the event, as you may just want to pick up a copy or two for your fan friends. All monies raised ( minus production costs) will go towards offsetting the expenses of this years Event, and put some money towards next years CV!

The CV2 Event program will also be played for the first time in public since it's completion in September of last year at this years Convention as well. This will include rare outtakes and also the exclusive video made by Aaron Fechter and Kerry called "Seals, Monkeys, and Creative Engineering" The program also features some neat footage of the huge hall decced out in memorabilia and some eye popping displays from CV2 in 2005. Rapid T.Rabbit's televison interivews with fans in attendence ( which aired on NY local cable access) is also included. Perhaps the best part is the audio commentary, which can best be described as "wacky" as J and Jenn compete between several familair characters to give their feedback regarding the various performances at CV2. At one point up to 5 characters are voicing there thoughts as well! A lot of fun to listen to....

I'm excited as at LONG LAST it is coming out!

Roakafire fan....the reason the PTT Players are not "working" is because we had COSMETICS ONLY on display that year. That is why they do not perform.

This year we DID have a operational show with Classic PTT characters at CV3, so you WILL get to see that on the next CV dvd release!

Sure was. That was a "authentic" Earl used during the final act in the Live Show Spectacular segement.

Our own darling Menutia kindly agreed to let me borrow it for the "surprise" ending at CV2. The only thing is.....when Earl arrived he had NO CLOTHS! He was "naked"! Shocking it was...and i have not fully recouped after that sight.

J had come up with the idea of having Chuck wip out Earl right after the first CV was over in 04'. I remember us driving home from a fun day in Danvers and he played his RAE Album cassette in the car on the way home. As the "Satisfaction" song came on, he started to describe the scene. When Earl started to wail, i DIED laughing!! It was hilarious..as the image in my head was of Chuck E. doing a "Rolfe" with a Early puppet.

Originally i was going to make my own Earl, as the previous CV i had made my Looney Bird for the BB/LB skit we did to finish up the 04' Lives at CV. However, time ran out and i had to look for other options. Menutia swept in like the grand saviour he is and the rest is history! I assembled a quick outfit for Earl to wear and rehearsed briefly with him the night before CV2. In the final show, I performed as three characters at once ( Chuck, Looney, and Earl!). NOT easy!

So yes, Earl was the real deal ( minus the recreated clothing!)
