Hey don't forget to send your CV3 footage to me! You can send either VHS OR DVD...It's gonna be done by Nick and I this year...at least that's what I thought was gonna happen Jenn?? Also if you're gonna send copies to me try to send the originals so the quality doesn't flip flop. ;)

Okay this is getting even ME confused guys.

Originally i asked if you two would like to handle the editing/creation of the CV3 dvd program but last i heard Gabe you had told me you were not able to edit togther a program along the lines of what i was looking for. Nick is able to help out with this, but it was said his schedule might be tight and he might not be able to get to cutting a program together anytime soon.

I then decided that in order to get the CV3 dvd program edited together and finished for release, i would handle it. If the above has CHANGED, then that is cool with me guys. I would rather have you two put the show togther and send me the final cut for review. However, we need to have this show as soon as folks get around to sending in their footage. I to date have recieved nothing yet, so i have'nt been able to start work on it. If you and Nick want to make a progam covering the events at CV3 then i am up for that by all means.

What i am looking for is a edited program similar to the previous CV dvd programs. By edited program, i mean just that...clips and highlights of the festivities. It should have opening credits, dubbed music, and end credits as well as various bonus features. I can do these things if you wish, i i have a pretty clear idea of what i want done there. The program itself you guys are welcome to cut together. All the best footage we have from all those who eventually send in there material.

So....what's it gonna be? Do you and Nick really want to do this in a fair amount of time ( ASAP as soon as you have everyone's footage is the goal) or would you rather i handle it?

I'd like to see you guys give it a shot personally. It's always good to involve people in CV, and i think you and Nick would be a terrific job.

All we need now is FOOTAGE!

People! SEND YOUR FOOTAGE TO US!!

PLEASE!! We cannot do a thing until we have something to work with!

Ok, I guess I will have to take the bull by the horns here. I officially accept the DVD production task. So lets get some of the logistics out of the way here.

Jen, it sounds like timeliness is your big concern here. That's ok with me, but in order to do that, let's set a cutoff date for the receipt of videos to be included. Also, I would like the videos shipped directly to me. That's the only way I can get things done in a timely manner, and keep track of things.

From that cutoff date I can turn around a finished product in about 30 days - including making the duplicate DVDs for you. I can do them on white discs with some text and a logo, but I think I would have to leave the printing of cases to someone else because it's something I'm not setup for. If you want to talk specifcs, lets talk on the phone some time.

This is a group thing, so if people want a good DVD, we need as many videos as possible - the more editing choices I have, the better the finished product will be. As Gabe said, I would prefer the original tapes whenver possible, to preserve the quality. If you have any ideas or things that you know we need to have on the DVD, start getting that to me so I can begin the pre-production.

So, all the possible contributors out there - please email me and I will give you the address to ship to. Again, originals are best, I can transfer from ANY format you may have. And yes, you will get your original back.

Nick

This does sound good guys....

I'm all for it! Thanks Nick for accepting this monumental task.

Okay folks......the official CUTOFF DATE to send your CV3 video footage to NICK is MONDAY SEPTEMBER 4th ( labor day!). Easy to remember!!

So be sure to send your stuff to Nick directly. Sorry about all the confusion. This is probably why i have not yet recieved anything from anyone yet!

Nick, shoot me a e-mail at cheesevention@yahoo.com if you would like to chat. If you can do the duplicate discs up that is awesome. Vega and I can handle the packaging decor, etc.

Thanks again for offering to handle this!

Okay folks...you heard it here:

SEND YOUR CV3 video footage to NICK!

I think almost everyone has gotten back to me or Gabe about footage, so thanks to all!

We are aiming to get the finished discs out to the "packaging dept." by the end of September, so we're still a litte ways away, but it should be a much quicker turnaround than last year.

J, no pressure - We will appreciate whatever you are able to get to us.

Hey Nick...

Just wondering how you guys are doing with getting the footage you need. Have you recieved any tapes yet from people?

I have a couple of musical selections already chosen for the opening and closing credits. I have may have you guys go ahead and assemble the opening sequence if you would like to. I was originally thinking of doing it myself, but i think Nick could help put together something much more interesting.

So Nick....my idea for the opening is to have some credits flash up on screen while this great western music i have plays. Between the credits, we can fade into different pieces of scenes fans will remember from CV3. Stuff like a show clip, Don's dance, RAE, etc. Then finally for the climax we see the CV3 Logo onscreen. This then fades out to black, and we begin the actual program.

So i need to send you the CV3 logo, and a cassette tape of the western music i have. I will try to get this ready to ship in a couple of weeks when i return from FL. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or suggestions!

I just heard from Nick and he has given me a full update.

Great news folks...as Gabe was saying it looks like things are coming along very well and that quite a bit has been worked on already. Huge thanks to everyone who heeded our request and sent in there video footage asap!

The credits are looking to be the last thing to be worked on and i will be providing the music and Logo Art. I am hoping to get these sent off in the next few days before i leave for FL. It's going to be tight!

I'm looking forward to what you guys have come up with...sounds terrific!

One thing i should put out there to the Community: If you attended CV3 and have photos of all of us ( or some of us) at TJ Hartford's, can you PLEASE send them asap to Nick or gabe via e-mail? These are to be used during one of the video segments, but we need more!

Thanks

More good news..and the latest update!

Nick tells me that the CV3 dvd program is finished! Yippee!!

I am awaiting his proof set so i can check it out, but i can tell you right now that i'm sure it's a winner of a release. The CV3 dvd with be a fabulous 2 DISC SET with over 3 1/2 hours worth of material. This was done to ensure the highest quality picture possible, and to allow ample space for all the priceless footage everyone sent in!

I will report back when i have actually viewed the program.....after that it will not be very long until the CV3 Dvd is ready for shipment!

Huge thanks go out to Nick, Gabe, and everyone who attended CV3 and sent in there footage in a timely manner so it could be included in this dvd!

J, if you are reading this...WE NEED the original master tape of your Video Message with Looney Bird!

Jenn, I have a question for you. See the CV DVD Marathon thread.

Shiney Happy Jenn

Saw it....

No, there were no plans for a Behind the Scenes-type dvd this year. We figured we covered a lot in the previous edition, and i honestly did'nt even think anyone would be interested in a follow up to "Behind the Cheese".

There may..MAY..be some setting up footage on the forthcoming CV3 dvd. I will be viewing the new program shortly before release and can better let you know then. I know there was some filming i beleive of us in the garage ( me, Menutia, The Captain, Damon) changing out the show and cosmetics, but i can't be certain. At this point only Gabe and Nick have viewed the CV3 program and can say for certain.

The CV3 program is done, it is now awaiting for me to review it and give my official release stamp on it.

For those hoping for the outtakes of my video message with LB..... your going to have to wait! Sorry, but in the move the tape has been lost in a box somewhere. I have been searching , but have been unable to find it. I have not given up, but due to te fact this CV3 video is on the "fasttrack" to be ready for viewing, I cant get it on to the dvd.
Dont worry though, Loonie and I are working on another project for all the fans, and perhaps the outtakes will show up on this new dvd when it is ready!

No...I think CV2's DVDs were released so late cause that's just when they were ready. Once Jenn slaps the packaging together for these...they'll be ready alot sooner. :D

That is correct, and i have Nick and Gabe to thank for helping out in the creation of the CV3 double-disc set program! Thanks to them, we will see a QUICK release.

Like i has just posted, the dvd program is DONE. Last years edition was finished around this same time, however, it took ages to release due to two reasons:

The audio commentary that J and i did as a bonus came out tinny and weak sounding volume wise. Vega offered to try and see if he could boost the sound signal pre-release, but it was'nt working out and a lot of time had gone by at that point. We decided to let it go as is, but then there were problems with getting it duplicated.

This brings us to the 2nd main reason for the Cv2 Event dvd delay: The burner being used to make multiple copies of the dvds crashed and thus the hold up! Everything was done by October of 2005, two months after CV2. It was not released until July of THIS year because of all the technical issues we faced.

THIS year however is a totally different story! Nick has done a AWESOME job producing this program and editing everyones footage into a show. He and Gabe have helped insure a quick turnaround on this release, and will also be handling the duplication to further streamline the release.

All that needs to be done is for me to pass the ok on the program, design the cover sleeve, and send that to Vega. You will then be able to order it directly from him thru this website!

So, no Danny.....you WON'T have to wait until next year to see it! LOL!!

Just to avoid any confusion,

What i mean by "distribution" is that it will be ready to be released. That does'nt always mean it will be on sale then....it just means it will be complete and sent to Vega for "distribution" ( aka ready to be sold) It will then go on sale online soon after he recieves it as when the discs arrive they will be completely finished products.

Just wanted to state that so no one will be missled.

It's still great news though...as it's definately coming out within the next 2 weeks.

I certainly hope there will be an incentive (deal) for purchasing both CV2 & CV3 materials.

It would be a great way to unload any extra CV2 items...(Cough-cough).

I'm sure Veganova will have something. The package deals i believe have sold very well when paired together.

Great news folks...the CV3 dvd proof set arrived in the mail today from Nick and i have viewed them.

Words cannot describe how incredibly impressed i am with this program and how he handled the challange of not only compliling hours upon hours of video footage sent in by the fans, but the fast production turn around and overall slick presentation. Nick and Gabe did a PHENOMINAL job on this! It's very professional, and the quality of the footage is a great improvement over previous Cv dvd releases.

What can i say but a huge THANK YOU to Nick, Gabe, and EVERYONE who sent in and contributed footage to make this program happen! I think everyone that was there will treasure this dvd set as a fine reminder of the memorable time we all had in TX this year. Those who were'nt able to make it to CV3 will enjoy it as well, as the pacing and presentation is clear enough that one will feel they are right there experiencing it!

Excellent job guys...wait until the fans see THIS!!

Now the details....

This is a two disc set as previously noted.

Disc 1 features half of the CV3 Event coverage, including the cool opening credits, a fantastic overview video compilation featuring CV3 highlights, and the start of the event. It also covers the Triva Contest, and also the ridiculously hilarious Sky Tube Race board game ( which is surreal to actually listen to!). Footage of Dolli Dimples is here, as well as the RAE Show ( and church service..lol) and the first PTT shows with Harmony.

Disc 2 features the other half of the event, such as the PTT Show with Madame Oink this time, and a selection of classic Cyberstar CEC era shows run with the Cyberamic CEC characters. Also included is some coverage of the visit to the Richardson CEC store, and the live show mayhem. There is SO much great stuff packed on these discs. The 3 hour+ playing time goes by FAST!

Disc 2 also has some nice bonus features, including some contributions from fellow attendees. Both Franchise and LooneyBird78 sent in some great selections. Franchise sent in a fab and fun video of him performing one of his cool Live Shows and LooneyBird78 sent in a very nice Photo Album ( gallery). J's video "Cheer" that we all did for him is also included in the bonus section, along with still images of the Cv3 schedule of events program.

Overall a stunning package!

The only regret i have to inform everyone is that the anticipated inclusion of the video message by J ( where he and Looney Bird sent a video message to be played at CV3 for everyone) was not able to be included. The master tape has been missplaced after a recent move J has made into his new home and time did not allow for it to be added.

I DO however still have the copy i brought with me to TX. Somehow i am sure we can figure out a easy way to get it to everybody.
